Our room was beautiful - oceanfront & had a great balcony. The staff was unfortunately very hit or miss- most seemed bothered to help you & were not at all friendly or attentive. Could be a fabulous experience with better service levels, which is what is expected at a resort like Cheeca. At checkout the woman didn’t bother to ask about our stay or say thank you for joining us- just handed us our statement with no greeting… leaves a bad impression.

The grounds to the property are very well kept and beautiful. Rooms could use a little updating but very clean and well kept. The main issue is that there is no entertainment day or night. No music or engagement. The recommendation received if wanting entertainment was to go outside of the property.

We loved the beach and all of the facilities! It was so easy to park under our room with the golf course view. The property is gorgeous and well maintained. Also, Spa Island was so pretty and relaxing as well as the waterfall grotto pool and jacuzzi near our room. Loved the adult pool too! Daydrian was so pleasant and helpful at check in. Jordan at the inside bar was master of tasty cocktails and super friendly! We used the shuttle for nearby restaurants which was timely and convenient. We also walked to some nearby shopping and favorite lunch spots!

Had a wonderful stay. A place that encourages you to spend time and have fun with your family (or as a couple). Plus points - large and comfortable room - parking underneath the room, so short distance to car - amazing facilities and activities included within resort fee. 9 hole pitch and putt golf, kayaks, paddleboards (weather permitting), fishing (tackle and bait), tennis, pickleball, beach volleyball, basketball, table tennis, games room with 2 consoles, basketball game, air hockey, 2 outdoor swimming pools, 1 adults only outdoor pool, bicycles. - stunning location by the water. Large beach and easy kayak or paddleboard trip to see the Bloodlines house and other sights - beautiful landscaping, including the lagoon, which was striking when torchlit at night - good recommendations for activities and eating options offsite Things that could be improved: - service generally wasn’t as good as I would expect. Service at the main restaurant was slow on the times we ate there for breakfast and dinner (we did have food service at the Italian). Housekeeping was often late in the day and on one occasion didn’t make the beds because we were in (we had been out for the morning but had returned in the early afternoon and the cleaner was ending their shift). Some staff (not all of them) in the games room and on the golf course looked bored and were on their phones. - food onsite is very pricey. Better options for better value offsite. - Air Con in room was stop/start and noisy

Great time but resort needs work
We had a great time, despite the rocky start. We checked in and they told us our room would be at another building and we could drive there. It was pretty close. We parked and unloaded the car only to realize we were staying on the 3rd floor and the elevator was out of order. The front desk really should’ve informed us of this and at least offered to help us get our bags upstairs. It’s no fun with heavy luggage and a 2-year-old. It’s also not convenient when you want to leave the room with a stroller and have to go up and down stairs with a stroller. The ice machine in our building also didn’t work so I had to go around and find another one. This is also something they should’ve let us know at check in. Our room was nice enough. It was pretty dated but the beds were comfortable and we had what we needed. The light fixture on the fan was broken and the bulb was exposed and the toilet had a hard time flushing. We went down to the pool and had a great time swimming. The views are unbeatable and the pool area is nice overlooking the water. We went to dinner at Nikai sushi lounge. Service was good, drinks were made nicely, and the food was fantastic. When we got back to our room we received a call from hotel management. I guess they got word from Hotels.com that our check in was less than good and they offered to pay our Nikai bill for the mishap. That was unexpected and appreciated. The next day we caught fish and sharks on the dock. We had a great time!

Beautiful resort and pretty grounds. The hotel itself exceeded my expectations. The staff was attentive for the most part and service was very good. The only issues we had were not enough seating near the pool and beach. We were there at spring break which i know is a crowded time but i felt the property could have done more to insure every guest was able to enjoy the amenities. Overall a very nice resort if you have high expectations and like to be pampered.
