This was our 2nd time at this hotel. Both times, we enjoyed the pool area and accompanying bar/restaurant. Rooms are a good size and have a nice little patio. They provide a concierge service which is welcoming, polite, and delightful. This is the only hotel in the Seaport area and the views are spectacular for all the boats. I would stay here again.

our biggest complaint was housekeeping. We didn’t receive any service on one day no trash take out no clean cups no clean glasses. We had to ask for toilet paper and bar soap. when they did come to clean, it was always at the end of the day and we had to make sure that we were out.

I have stayed at the Mark or more times than I can. Remember, it’s our favorite spot but this last trip I noticed they have really neglected the place., it looked like the carpet has not been cleaned in years if ever, the carpet in my room was almost too nasty to walk on barefoot with several stains. There was some drywall repairs that were never finished, in my opinion the rooms could just use a complete refreshing

Hallway rugs could use a refresh. Impossible to move a rolling suitcase on them. And just a general statement: We hate paying resort fees when we make no use of the facilities. Access should be optional.

Great Location

Front desk service was accommodating as the concierge as well. Unfortunately, an upgraded view was given to 3 of our party’s rooms. However, none of us needed an accommodation for accessibility. My room was unsightly due to this option. The front desk was kind on Monday at check in and changed the one room to better fit our needs. Also, it was better maintained. Another room occupied by our family visiting us from California was also disappointed. We have stayed here many times in the last 10 years. The prices have gone up significantly but it is not overpriced for a luxury hotel. We would pay with or without a discount, as we have enjoyed this location and quality while entertaining family or friends visiting, a business trip, or HS wrestling tournaments but this is the first time we have seen less than expected accommodations (black Friday discount). Also, we asked for a late check out and Windy or the supervisor was unable to approve the next day, on a Tuesday morning. The location is great for nearby restaurants and popular bars. In the past, activities such as intro for scuba diving and the live music by the pool has been a hit amongst our friends visiting or a friendly front desk clerk has always been pleasant but it seemed we came in at a bad time or possibly under new management. Also, this was only a 1 night stay as it was part of multi city trip and one would really need at least 2 days to fully experience what this hotel could offer once in a comfortable room.

Although we were only at The Marker for one night, it was a great experience. We did arrive earlier than check in time and our rooms were not ready, but it was ready only an hour later. The rooms were clean, with stocked mini bar, fridge, and complimentary water and bathroom products. The terrace was a lovely feature. We did go down to the pool area before dinner and learned that the pool closes at dusk, and the bar closes at 6:00pm. That was disappointing. The location was ideal right on the harbour. A few minutes to restaurants on the harbour, and 10 minute walk to Duval Street. The hotel grounds were quiet, despite being close to Duval Street.

Second time staying at hotel. This visit we were in a standard Queen room. It was a nice size room, but the bed was hard as a rock. Just an old mattress sitting on top of plywood. Nothing like the bed we had in first visit (it was a suite). We complained to front desk after 2 nights. They said they may be able to move us, but not until the next day. (It was NYE.) They also said the hotel was in midst of changing out mattresses; a fact which was later disputed by different staff. No one ever contacted us about the availability of moving to a new room. On check out day the cleaning crew entered our room and said their records showed room was vacant. So someone moved us to a new room in system, but never told us. We eventually got the daily service charge removed from our bill. The room cleaning never occurred before 4pm; on NYE they were so late getting to our room I had to speed shower. The hotel property is nice, but the daily fees are excessive for what you get.

The staff was welcoming and very helpful. We loved the heated pool and the bar/restaurant located right next to it. The Marker is in a great location with many sights and restaurants in walking distance.
