The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere when you walk in is very pretty. The rooms are small, but I didn’t mind. I did think the room cleanliness could be higher since there was dust in the corners of the room… but the bed and bathroom were very clean. The location is prime and walking distance from many amazing restaurants. Overall, a great stay!

Late-night check-in service offered. Super nice front desk. I stayed one night as a woman by myself and felt really safe. It is smack dab in Little Italy, so extremely convenient. In terms of safety, it's full of people during the day until late at night, around 10-11 pm, where it gets pretty quiet. Even then, during the day, the noise doesn't wake you up in the morning. There are a couple of homeless people around, but nothing to worry about. Solid choice!

It’s a nice hotel, prices reasonable, I wish I was able to use the status instead of the elevator, I love the it’s in little Italy hearts, there are lots of options to eat or have a drink or coffee. Very convenient that you can walk to places like the bay. I am definitely going back to La Pensione.

Gave me wrong room number so keys did not work. Had to go back to front desk to get correct room number. Keys did not work when I returned to hotel again had to go back to front desk. I have stayed here many times no issues. Just a little bit of a inconvenience.
