The house was lovely. The management was sub-par. 1) I paid extra to have the pool heated; they called & said they neglected to turn it on for the first day of our stay, & would refund me the 50. The heat still wasn't working; a technician came out. Still no heat the next day. Finally, the whole unit had to be replaced, so we had workmen in and out of the yard for several hours, and still couldn't use the pool. No refund was offered for the additional 2 days. 2) One morning there was a loud drumming, rumbling sound that woke everyone up at 6:00 a.m. It turned out to be something to do w/the water irrigation system. Another repair guy at the house, and we had to be around to show him where the problem was. 3) That evening, half the house had no water--2 bathrooms & the kitchen. Fortunately we discovered this before leaving for dinner--8 guests & no running water, no flushing toilets?! Another repair guy came out to fix THAT. 4) 8 guests & we had 8 bath towels. None in the closet marked "extra towels." We are active, hiking every day, etc., and a few extra towels would be nice for a "luxury" level rental. I texted and asked for more towels 3 times, and they said they'd bring some. They never did. 5) No laundry detergent; they did drop off pods but we'd already bought some. The stress of dealing w/all this felt like being a homeowner, not like being on vacation. I called 2 days ago & told ACME all this & was promised to "escalate" my complaints & call me back.Nothing so far.
