I like the environment a lot. I like Carl, the Asian American young man who provided excellent courtesy and service. I don't like how expensive the amenities are, no matter how beautiful the location, $45 a day is beyond expensive.

Bad stay.

Bad stay for anyone with a slight disability. Concrete narrow steps everywhere no inside tables for winter breakfasts. No easy way to the beach, just more concrete steps. No room service after 10am. Only one safety bar in shower. No poolside service. Not a resort by any means.

Lovely Hotel on the beach! Love the location and pool facilities and the access to the beach. Amazing breakfast buffet in the lobby. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Hidden gem and so glad we found this hotel.

Beach Terrace was one of the most amazing properties I've ever stayed at, and I have traveled all over the world. I went with my 5.5 year old daughter for 3.5 days over the Christmas holiday recently (Saturday-Tuesday). The property is so beautiful, clean and literally right on the ocean. There isn't a hotel like it in the area AT all. The pool is heated and against the crashing waves, it's just a wonderful swimming and relaxation experience. You can also lay out in front of the ocean or right on the beach. The property is 10 minutes from Legoland and within walking distance from food and shopping in the Carlsbad town so it's kid and family friendly on top of being a beautiful hotel for adults. The rooms are beautifully spacious, well decorated and the bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The staff does an amazing job of making every guest feel special and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning is well curated and also very good. The magic was in the details. In the reception area, there is a game library, so my daughter and I got to play Candyland and Jenga listening to the ocean. The robes in the rooms were ponchos - super comfy and perfect. There are different types of pillows you can request, coffee makers and amenities like beach bags, yoga mats and beach toys in the rooms. It was just BEYOND what I was expecting and we can't wait to come back. If we could have, we would have extended our trip but had to get back to home for Christmas Eve. Thank you!

Best Stay Ever

Took our office staff for a weekend getaway, the hotel is in perfect location, close to all you need in Carlsbad. I’ll age, many restaurants, flat and clean Carlsbad Walk, free bikes to use and clean as it can be, simple but tasteful breakfast, I would highly highly recommend to family and couples. Pool is warm an tons of ocean view and surf.

All the special touches in the room to the breakfast borrowing a game and the snacks for the road. This was a great stay only bummer was the beach access being gone my 87 year old mom couldn't get down to the beach but we had a great view. The staff and property were amazing

Beautiful room , bed is spacious, nice view of the beach . Good service , good breakfast . The bed is comfy , we slept really good. I like the fact that we can just walk to the beach in the morning. We will definitely come back and stay in this nice hotel again. Michelle in the front desk is very nice and told us everything we need to know about the hotel . Loved our stay . Walkable to the nice restaurants in the area.
