Worse hotel I've ever stayed in very disappointing
This was the worst hotel stay i have ever been in. They should be a law for them to charge people that much to stay there. There was bid dog dumping right outside my door, people outside using drugs, no privacy, very low budget sheets bed causes my hip to be discomfort. Terrible Terrible!

One of the most depressing sadly looking properties I’ve ever stayed at in my entire life. We got lost after leaving Pageant Of The Masters in Laguna Beach. We stayed at the Ritz Carlton. After the show we started our drive to Malibu when I realized that we had gone south on 73 and not north we were already deep in Carlsbad and now two hours plus from Malibu and I was exhausted with my 12 year old son, It was midnight so I took looked and tried to find a place close by. Faeth put this on the top of my Expedia search it should’ve been on the bottom it shouldn’t have even been included. It’s the worst hotel motel I’ve ever stayed in my entire life. It was so disgusting and depressing besides not having parking for the gas on a sketchy dead street, the bed was funky. The toilet didn’t work after not being able to use the restroom we left in the middle of the night. I’m disputing the charge with my American Express platinum card. Please avoid this hotel at all costs spend the extra $100 and find a nicer place. . People partied outside my room all night as well, making it impossible to sleep as the walls were paper thin. If you want to torture yourself and your family by all means stay at this hotel they will never forgive you.

There were ants in our sink and we were unable to get ready in the morning. If the property is going to charge the rates they do, they need to make sure the rooms are clean and stable for their guests. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything in the other rooms. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Not worth almost $200 for the night.

Stayed here from Monday through Thursday. Went on vacation with the family and got 2 rooms with 2 beds each. The customer service is excellent. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are old but comfortable. We did find one little spider in one room and there were some ants in the bathroom of the other room. The location is great! You can walk to the beach and go shopping at all the little stores around. Walmart and Target are like 10 minutes away. Close to different restaurants. Next to the freeway. Definitely worth the location and price. Key card didn’t work a few times but they have 24/7 guest service so it wasn’t a big deal to get it reactivated. Parking can be a little difficult. They have a little Mexican restaurant, Lourdes, in the building next to the hotel in the same parking lot. Great breakfast burritos and menu. Overall, it wasn’t too bad. Just don’t expect anything too fancy.

Never coming back.
I opened the door and it hit the bed . Smallest room I ever had. We were supposed to have a queen bed , we didn't. We both woke up with a lot of back pain. When you're on vacation back pain is no fun when touring in Carlsbad.

The bathroom was a disaster. The toilet had rust stains at the back and the seat cover was not properly installed. the shelf under the mirror was falling apart. the sink was separated from the wall and the plaster was coming off. at 2:00am someone's car alarm was going off. and lastly the air conditioner was so noisy.

This property is used for homeless - there were two with all their belongings on the sidewalk when we parked in the back. Our room was dirty - there was hair all over the floor, the walls were dirty, mold in the shower, a hole in the bathroom door from the bed frame, the AC unit pumps out very little air. When we brought the above information to the front desk, she said housekeeping were gone for the day, there were no other rooms and if we are unhappy, we can leave. There were people by the office on their speaker phones trying to locate another place to stay. It's really sad. People were offered to stay here for $100 yet we paid over $255 for the night. Definitely not worth it.
