Missed the mark.

So the accommodations were a bit aged, not that big a deal, but were were some issues. A resort like this advertises certain amenities. When you advertise them, I expect them to work, it’s basic stuff. I booked here because it was a good deal and because I made plans to utilize the amenities. It started with the first room I was in having completely unreliable and unusable WiFi. This is not an acceptable outcome, especially in this day and age. There’s no reliable cell service there in the mountains. So not having a reliable line to the outside world when I’m running a business is not acceptable. I shouldn’t have to change rooms to address this, but thats what had to happen. Then I invited family over for dinner my last night there, we planned to do a barbecue at one of the many barbecues you “make available” for guest use. The ones by my building were out of propane. The ones by the two adjacent buildings were out of propane. I had to drag my food two buildings over to the one barbecue that half worked to cook for my family guests who almost left hungry. I called front desk to address the propane in the grills by our building, and we were there waiting for two hours even after I cooked two buildings over after not being able to wait anymore. Maintenance never showed up. Not the level of customer service I expect from a Hyatt resort. Really a disappointment. Can rely on advertised amenities being available. To boot the trash from the neighbors was left out front and torn.

The check in time was a nightmare. We arrived at 3pm and had to wait 2 hours to get checked in. The check in process is incredibly lengthy and no one knows whatvthey are doing atvthe front counter. Also when you call the front desk, no one answers.

When we arrived for check-in at 5:30 PM, our room was not ready. As a gesture of apology, we were offered a $25 resort credit and decided to enjoy a glass of sparkling wine at the Canyon Ranch restaurant while waiting. However, we were unable to charge the drinks to our room because, according to the staff, our room number did not yet exist in the system. As a result, we had to pay nearly $60 out-of-pocket, which was frustrating and disappointing. About 30 minutes later, our room was finally ready. We brought our barbecue ingredients to the grill area, only to find that although the grill turned on, the flame was so weak that we could not properly cook any food. We had no choice but to return to our room and use the induction stove to cook, which filled the room with food odors and made our stay uncomfortable. Lastky, the dishwasher detergent compatment would't close propwrly, so I couldn't run the dishwash correctly and there was no sponge provided either. We were truly looking forward to a relaxing and enjoyable experience at your resort, but instead, we were left with a series of inconveniences and unpleasant memories. It is deeply regrettable that what was meant to be a special stay turned into such a disappointing experience. I reached out to the property via email about this issue, but I have not received a response as of today.

Took a trip to San Deigo to visit to Sea World, and the zoo with grandkids. Didn't want to be around the population.This place was beautiful, like a star 5 hotel. Would stay here again. I had amazon send me a wagon and cooler that was a mess at trying to get found when I needed them. We left the wagon for facilty to use but, never heard if it was claimed. Maid hopefully turned in. I would stay here again. Lots to do. again.again.staycwaround

The landscaping was lovely.The room access was terribly inconvenient.I had to bring luggage & several boxes up two flights of stairs which took many trips& did no favors to my back. (No elevators.) I was talked into an "hour, maybe 1 and 20 min at most" presentation which lasted 3 1/2 hours setting me way behind on my day.1 was given a 2 day stay for going, which I added to my stay; but had to check out at 10 on my already scheduled stay, and wait until 4 to check back in to my new room, which was below floor level so had to navigate two flights of stairs down this time. I was able to get help with my luggage from some very helpful workers, so it was a lot easier, at least. The rooms were large and accomodating, though the fans in the bathrooms sounded like they would fall out of the ceiling at any moment. Unit was dated. Not well stocked with kitchen supplies. First coffee machine not working, second started to burn. Wifi/internet access is absolutely atrocious - cannot consistently permit e-mail let alone streaming or working remotely. Front desk staff very friendly but little they can seem to do about the poor maintenance and refusal of the resort leadership to address internet access/Wifi which has been atrocious for years according to an owner.

Service was terrible minus Leo at the front he was kind. Entire resort smells like it has a sewage problem. The “resort” offers you a service where you can take trolley or golf cart via request through text messaging or calling the front. My family who booked a total of 7 rooms for a family vacation spent the majority of Saturday standing by the trolley after they refused to give us golf cart service (even though it was provided the day before and told it was offered to us as guests) . Needless to say no one ever came to the trolley after 45 minutes of waiting, there is only ONE restaurant on site unlike the 3 it states online. And I got sick at dinner Saturday night celebrating my daughter’s 10th birthday due to the restaurant smelling like backed up sewage. Also green sludge coming through the floorboards right next to our table. The waitress tried to say it was coming from the tv??? Crazy. They refused to move us to the dining room where we could have proper ventilation. Spent $150 on just the meal for us for (2 adults and 2 kids) I literally got up in the middle of dinner and had to run to the room to throw up and requesting a golf cart was not an option for me as already knew they would never show up. Sunday morning they argued w me via text service refusing to give us late check out even though one of the rooms with some of our party was booked as priority 1 since they are ORIGINAL owners here at Lawrence welk before the buyout and our party should’ve been treated acc

Perhaps more activities on the weekends for weekend visitors. The area of the resort we stayed was being renovated and it would have be nice to know this prior to booking that part of the resort.
