Never again with Magical Vacation Homes, Worst experience & horrible management company
We decide to surprise our little girl with a trip to Legoland for her graduation. I read the reviews, property fit our needs. I booked the property on May 18, 2021 & received contracted the same day to sign for the property. Two days later May 20, 2021 I received an email requesting a copy of my husband license, a copy of my husband credit card & a utility bill. Unfortunately when reviewing this property on Vrbo I missed the part that this property is managed by a third party Magical Vacation Rentals. I immediately contacted them, as I did not feel comfortable providing copies of all these documents as we have fraud done on our accounts. Magical Vacation Rentals customer service notified me that this is their policy for last minute booking & if I did not provide the documents they would cancel my reservation even though my credit card had already been charged. Unfortunately I could no longer book the other properties we had been looking at, as they had been booked. I reluctantly provide the documents. I should have stuck to my gut because now return from our trip I have multiple fraud charge done on my credit card & have to contacted my bank to freeze my card and file claims for the fraudulent charges. When we arrived at the property I entered the access code initially provided of no. & letter, but the key pad only had number. I called many phone numbers on emails, contract & left a messages or mailbox was full or better yet try again the next day. We had to pay $400 for hotel since nobody would call us back & with a tired & sleepy toddler & 6 yr old. Later that night my cousin staying with us found a number on google search & I was contacted on her behalf after we paid for a hotel room. After hrs customer service was awful to my wife & enters the property. Once in the property 20mins b4 midnight, the master toilet was broken, fire alarm in living area was going off & woke up my kids, chairs seats broken & worst of all the main door did not lock properly & it was a life safety issue for my toddler since we were on the 3rd floor. Maintenance did not arrive even though I call after hrs service, physically spoke to the manager at the office the next morning & again that same night. The AC filter filthy & unchanged before our arrival. I requested call of repair status, but nobody called me nor provided status of repairs. We had enough & left the property Sunday afternoon instead of our departure date. This experience has been traumatizing.
