The room was freezing and front desk made me go through a lot until they realized it was broken. Throughout night and early morning slamming doors from hallway were so loud…thin walls! Too dark, no where to put stuff and only one nightstand. Not as chic as photos…Close to a subway and free coffee were only positives take aways.

This is the kind of place where the style drove the design not comfort. The room has the bed shoved against the window, so you have to basically crawl over your partner if you’re on that side of the bed. And there are folding doors covering the TV so when you open those to watch the TV, it’s an obstruction that I smashed my elbow twice trying to get past. And the bed is on a platform so in the night once again if you get up to use the facilities, you’re in danger of tumbling off of that because the lighting is not in convenient places either.. it looks nice, but it was a very uncomfortable stay

I needed an early check in, and the staff were very accommodating. In addition, the amenities on the ground floor are really exciting and convenient - a wine bar, a coffee bar, and food? Close to the subway, and an easy train ride to downtown or Brooklyn. The room was clean and chic, and the bathroom was comfortable with amazing water pressure. I had a great time.

We were charged $1000 on arrival (a $600 and $400 charge) but were not informed of this when we checked in. When we realized, we queried it and were told it was a breakage deposit which would be paid back upon check out. We arrived home 2 weeks ago and unfortunately we are still waiting for $400. The rooms are tiny and not suitable for 4 people even though ours was booked for 4. Location was good but there are better hotels in New York.

Minimal lighting in the rooms and elevater made it difficult to do one’s hair and makeup. And even find your floor number to push on the key pad. Also the mirror in the bathroom is minuscule and worthless for any practical use. That said, the staff are lovely and very kind and helpful. Enjoyed the coffee bar in the morning and wine from the hotel bar in the evening. Modest hotel but had a lovely stay.

The service was excellent. The front desk was particularly good. We had some issues with our room (tv cabinet malfunction and shower drainage clogged), but they fix issues fast. We love the location, near midtown attractions and still walking distance to the Village.
