The lobby is lovely, but our room looked dated and was really poorly lit. A member of the housekeeping staff left our door open, which was disturbing and scary, especially as they didn’t do a very good job cleaning it anyway. No one at the front desk told us the restaurant had breakfast (maybe it’s because it cost $29 for basically a bagel and coffee). Plenty of shops, bars and eateries in the area. Keep in mind the hotel is in the lower east side, so it’s not the easiest to get to midtown, Times Square, etc. The bar is closed Sunday and Monday, but they have a wine hour in the lobby, which is nice, as is the coffee in the morning. Overall, kind of a letdown, I suppose.
