I was impressed with friendly staff, great walkable location, nearby subway stations and free breakfast. It feels safe to walk around neighborhood even after midnight . Shower was clean even its sharing for entire floor. Happy with my stay

The staff was very nice in general and I appreciated the breakfast buffet. Austere room conditions with minimal amenities but clean. The room can get a bit cold at night. One issue was that I couldn’t log onto wifi in the room.

It’s old property, property is not neatly maintained. If you are hardly in the room then it’s decent to just spend nights but I cannot imagine spending time here on a holiday. ACs makes such loud noise. Not a pleasant stay

Wifi was not working in my particular room. Staff was aware and told me to use the business center. Not ideal with the noise, the constant coming and going, the proximity to the bathroom, and the maintenance making repairs when you work remotely. TV was not working. 5 hours after letting the front desk know, I was told it would not be fixed. Issue for me because as I said I work remotely. I would not have picked this location if I had known. I tried to resolve with the hotel to no avail. Besides that, location is fine, hotel is very raggedy

I was very impressed by the cleanliness of everything in the room and I loved the location. We were able to leave our bags there in the morning and pick them up at night when we were done with our day. Check in and check out was super simple And the breakfast was excellent.

The Leo House was an excellent choice for our long weekend in NYC. While the accommodations were modest, it truly provided everything we needed for a clean, safe and comfortable stay. It had simple, monastic touches throughout, which I personally loved. My favorite part about staying at The Leo House is the connection to 140 year-old tradition in the city. There might be more newer, modern and luxurious options available but preserving a piece of New York’s history and going back in time to be linked to a rich tradition is an important part of the NYC experience for us. I enjoyed the Catholic foundation of the house, with masses offered, a chapel, crucifixes in the room and Mother Teresa stayed there when she visited NYC. The staff were truly wonderful and the delicious complimentary breakfast each morning was such a treat (the coffee was excellent). We will book there again!

Good value for location, some problems

Very affordable for the location and they offer a free breakfast buffet that has good options. However, wifi and TV were not working in room for the entire stay (went to front desk multiple times and the issue was never resolved). The towels were also dirty when I first arrived. However, common areas are nice and staff are friendly.
