The hotel has a great location, reasonable rates and nice clean rooms. The staff was nice and helpful - we enjoyed our stay at DaVinci.

Staff was friendly. Good location. Our room was small for 2 double beds. There was basically no closet. The closet was an open frame with a few hangers on a very short rod. There was a refrigerator under the makeshift closet. Access to the refrigerator was difficult since there was a heat register against the wall and it stuck out in front of the closet plus the end of the bed was an arm’s length from the front of the heater. There was no space for our suitcases which we had to put on the floor which took up much needed space. The bathroom was very neat and clean, however there was no hot water in the shower. We notified the front desk attendant about the hot water issue. Upon returning we found the shower water was still cool. This hotel was described as a “boutique hotel”. It was nowhere close to being a boutique hotel. Needless to say our stay was very disappointing. We will never book this hotel again.

I have traveled to NYC well over 60 times for business. This is the worst hotel I have ever used. My room didn’t lock and the TV didn’t work. After 3 requests they changed my room late the 2nd night. On my last day the TV in that room didn’t work, as well as the other room my travel companion was in. When I asked for a 1 night credit, the front desk said maintenance check the room and said the door did lock. I disagreed as she then said she also went up and the door did lock any the TV did work. I wanted to speak with the manager, who was supposed to call me but never did. I am disputing 1 night say with AMEX. Don’t stay there.

The temperature control unit in my room, #102, did not work. Room was uncomfortably hot all night. The handle for the shower did not work well and the water never got above luke warm.

The location of the hotel was great however the manager of this location is very rude and unprofessional fir what you pay for the room per night it’s definitely not worth it. Had a issue with the parking garage, I called the hotel the night before coming and inquired about the parking I was told it would be $40 per evening 24 hours we used the garage however that is only true if you drive a regular size car which was it told to me over the phone which it’s a additional $15 per day if you drive a over sized vehicle. When told this from the garage tenant I went back to the hotel to speak with a manager to explain the situation. The young man at the desk called the manager by phone as I spoke to her about the issue she was very condescending disrespectful and just downright rude about the whole situation. I explained to her the phone call that I had with one of her receptionist at the hotel and she basically told me that I should have told the young lady I spoke with that we had a oversize vehicle in which I didn’t explain to her that no it should have been specified over the phone that if I was inquiring about the garage but if I had a oversize vehicle it would be an additional $15 . As I’m speaking with her the Router she got with me over the phone so I asked her what she Willing to lose a $600 reservation over $30 that they could come out and she told me yes she will be willing to lose that reservation.
