We selected his hotel for its location near Paddington since we were catching the Heathrow Express the next morning. It was a very short walk to the station and worked for our needs. But I am glad we didn’t stay here the other nights we were in London. Neighborhood is a tad sketchy with lots of homeless asking for handouts. Most of the highly rated restaurants in the area were Middle Eastern or Indian cuisine, which wasn’t what we were looking for. Other restaurants were pretty touristy. The one that adjoins the hotel has a somewhat limited menu, and when we stopped for a post-dinner night cap we struggled to find an appropriate one in the bar selection.

Hotel generally OK, but had service issues

Pros: Great location! Right down the street from Paddington Station, Sightseeing bus stopped frequently just down the street, lots of nearby restaurants.
Cons: Responsiveness of hotel staff
Location: Near transit to airport, train service, subway, and buses. Hyde Park nearby, easy to get to all sightseeing destinations, lots of food & drink options
The rooms were OK, but a bit on the small side. After our first day there, housekeeping had not cleaned the room when we got back late afternoon, and after we called and asked for them to come, no one shoed up for an hour. By that time, we just wanted to relax, so we just asked for fresh towels. That was a bit difficult since the housekeeper didn't speak English, but we got the message across. We put the "clean room" hang tag on our door when we left for the day thereafter. Also, we had two rooms, and the person we were traveling with didn't have a phone that would work abroad. We tried calling their room, but the phone in their room didn't work. We told the front desk about the issue, and they made excuses (person not in, person must be on phone, etc). We tested the phone ourselves, and confirmed it wasn't working. After telling the front desk for 3 days and getting no useful response, we gave up.

Convenient location near Paddington

Pros: close to train
The hotel, although on a busy street, was very quiet during my one night stay. I was also able to check in prior to the hotel's 2PM check in time..which was great so I could drop my luggage. Hotel staff was very accommodating when I could not get my US adapter to work to recharge my phone..said other Americans had the same problem...at least they tried to help with a local adapter, but that didn't work either. Room was small, but quite comfortable, modern and clean. My only complaint is that when I had breakfast the morning I was checking out...it took a good 20 minutes standing at the front desk (directly across from the dining room# before the breakfast charge was posted to my room #9 pounds)...and they could complete the checkout. In summary, I would stay there again.

Very upscale, good location near train station.

Pros: free use of computer in lobby, luxurious but small rooms
Nice new hotel, pleasant staff, and very pretty rooms. The hotel has a great location if you're leaving by Heathrow Express. The neighborhood is so-so, but the hotel itself is very upscale, nicely decorated, and steps from the station. I was a little disappointed that the bathrooms did not have tubs, but the showers were huge and nicely appointed. The hotel has a computer available for guests in the lobby and the staff was nice enough to print our boarding passes. The only problem we had was that we needed to stay an extra night (because of the airline strike) and we had to pay the hotel's full price for the second night. This was significantly higher than the price we paid for the first two nights. I would stay there again.

Great hotel with excellent location.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, good location.
This hotel was great, very clean with friendly staff. Our room was small but comfortable, internet was free, even had a towel warmer. Location was excellent, easy walking distance to Paddington Station. Many restaurants and grocery stops close. Would definitely stay here again!

This Texan found a second home in London

Where to start. After I made the reservation and got confirmation I had a question about how to get from Heathrow to the nearest "Underground" station. Got an email from the Indigo the next day. When I asked for clarification, got it the next day. Once we got to the hotel, we had a good greeting from the hotel staff, which was mighty fine after a long plane ride. The room was very attractive and the wifi worked well. The Indigo provided us with several brochures that had maps and explantion about the "Underground". They helped us understand the currency and provided the electrical outlet necessary to keep our blackberrys charged so we could communicate to family to tell them we had arrived safely. Each evening when we came in there was a friendly greeting from the staff at the front desk. Always felt secure and safe at this location. Indigo makes the term "location, location, location" very understandable.

Wonderful Experience

Fantastic location within walking distance of Paddington Station and many restaurants and pubs. Very friendly staff and clean well appointed rooms. Would gladly stay there again.
