The check-in process is smooth. We arrived earlier so we got our luggage stored by a young man. When we tried to get our luggage back, the yang man wasn't there so the gentlemen in his 40 to 50 year old from the reception desk came over to help but he handled my wife's luggage rudely. Instead of bringing the luggage to front of my wife, he pushed the luggage forward from 6 feet away As a result, my wife's luggage with her back pad on top of it felt down heavily. He said sorry for that. Late my wife found out one of her souvenir in her back pad broken. When taking shower, there isn't mechanism to lift off the draining cap at room 371. At 11 pm, when I try to boil some water and found out the coffee cattle isn't work, I reported this issue next morning when I checked out. The staffs are generally kind and polite, and the cleaning of the room is acceptable. The location is good to access Hyde Park.

Bad service and unclean room ruined my stay

I would like to share my recent experience during my stay at Corus Hotel Hyde Park, which, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations or the standards one would expect from a hotel of this rating. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find that there was no porter service available. I had to repeatedly ask—and even plead—for help with carrying my luggage to the room. This was very disappointing and not what I would expect from a hotel of this category. Once I entered the room, I found it to be unclean, with visible cobwebs in different areas. I documented this with photos. I reported the issue to the reception, and one of the staff came with me to inspect the room. Frankly, it felt as though I was being questioned or treated as if I were not telling the truth, which I found upsetting and unprofessional. I was moved to another room, but the air conditioning was not working there either. When I raised the issue with the receptionist, she was very rude, raised her voice, and kept interrupting me while I was trying to explain the situation. Her attitude was unacceptable and lacked basic courtesy and professionalism. Later, during the night shift around 5:00 AM, I called the reception again and spoke with a different staff member, who was much more polite and helpful. He moved me to another room where the air conditioning was finally working properly — something I expected from the beginning.

Perfect location for hyde park events. 10min walk from Paddington station. 2 min walk to Lancaster gate tube station. 2 min walk to a hyde park entrance. Breakfast good. Luggage store. Friendly staff. Room fine for how much we paid.

Hotel provided as advertised at a reasonable rate for the area. Well stocked breakfast with good service. Executive room could be bigger and better furnished. Lack of A/C a NO NO for a hotel this size.

Good Hotel, But Without Many Perks

Had a nice stay with friends. The hotel is in a nice area. Quiet and cooler than more urban London, so not a lot of evening options nearby. Only one VERY tiny all night store open. Facility was fairly clean and staff were wonderful, however, they seemed to not understand the idea of Do Not Disturb for maid service. They felt SUPER strong that my towels and trash needed to be swapped out every day, even though both could have easily been left alone for the 6 days I was there (as I prefer). The bar, restaurant, and concierge were incredibly limited but the food always smelled good. Overall a basic property without a lot of perks.

Absolutely horrendous the rooms do not look like any of the photos on the advertisement on the site. The air-conditioning isn’t working We asked to change rooms and was told rudely by the reception that we’ve taken air-conditioning off our advertisement on their website but none of the partners sites The carpet was threaded Beer and had gripper rods poking through them which I stabbed myself multiple times walking over them I had money stolen from the side table The food is absolutely atrocious And I’m still waiting for a manager to contact me about my stolen property The room is a shoe box.

Room terrible and noisy

Huge crashing noises around 1am as restaurant behind put glass bottles etc in bins, lots of shouting etc Had a terrible nights sleep. When we checked out we weren’t asked how our stay was. Room was pretty old and there was no room in the bathroom to put any toiletries. The shower was old and tricky to use, looked like it was about to fall apart. Decor was old and needed a lot of touching up. Great location but room was terrible.
