Upon arrival, staff was very pleasant in welcoming us. Hotel room felt extremely dated though and my bed kept rolling around as it was on wheels which I couldn't lock, so every time I moved, the bed moved with me. If the rooms were updated like the rest of the hotel, I would have no complaints.

The hotel was conveniently located near Hyde Park and all transportation. (Note that I have stayed in literally dozens of hotels in London over the years , from 5-floor walk-ups to very expensive). This hotel was also very clean ) which is important), the staff were on the ball and the breakfast was very good. That being said, I will never stay there again! My granddaughter (age 24) and I (age 70) shared a room. Twin beds were fine but the room was TINY plus there were NO DRAWERS or anywhere to store clothes. NO CLOSET, just a small area with hangers. Therefore we literally lived out of our suitcases. The tiny table between our beds only fit the hotel phone and one water bottle! We were bitterly disappointed. This particular room is great for those not planning on purchasing much in the way of clothes, etc. (Not for a fashionista and an "old bag" like me).

I paid to upgrade to a deluxe double and the room was freshly updated and huge. Staff was excellent, the bar and restaurant were great, location and neighborhood near the tube station were a bonus.

Our stay at the Corus Hotel Hyde Park was very enjoyable. The location was perfect; just 2 mins from the subway station Lancaster Gate, across the street from the lovely gardens of Hyde Park and next to restaurants and a convenient store for incidentals. The hotel itself had a restaurant in it that made it easy for weary but hungry travelers. The room was clean and quiet as well as air conditioned. The hotel staff where very accommodating and made our stay very pleasant.

Good location. On each of the last 2 days our room key cards failed to work, as did the room air conditioning. This was easily corrected by visiting the front desk.
