Flatiron District Hotel & Travel Guide

Named for one of New York City's most iconic skyscrapers, the Flatiron District is not only one of the city's historic neighborhoods, but as the home to Silicon Alley, it's also played an important role in emerging high-tech industries. When staying at one of the many Flatiron District hotels, you'll be surrounded by delectable cuisine and some of Manhattan's best nightlife, making this one of NYC's most exciting neighborhoods.

Visiting the Flatiron District

People heading to the Flatiron District will fly into LaGuardia, JFK, or Newark airport. There are many options for renting a car at all three airports, but if you prefer to rent a car in the Flatiron District, you can take a cab from the airport. The cheapest and greenest way to get around is New York's famously reliable and extensive public transportation—both buses and subways connect the airports to any of the hotels in Flatiron District, NYC. There are several buildings that would earn this neighborhood a spot in the history books, but the most culturally important has to be the birthplace of Theodore Roosevelt. You can tour this century-and-a-half old brownstone free of charge and see artifacts that belonged to the U.S. president both as a young boy and from his days as a Rough Rider. If you're staying at one of the hotel in New York, you're never too far from a park, and this neighborhood's urban oasis is Madison Square Park. It covers three city blocks, features art exhibits, hosts live concerts, and is both kid- and dog-friendly.

Finding a hotel can be stressful, especially if you're looking for hotels near Flatiron District, but it doesn't have to be. When you book through Travelocity you can walk confidently through the city knowing you probably paid less for your trip than everyone else. What's the secret? You can save up to $537 when you book a hotel and flight at the same time on Travelocity.
