I visit NY regularly and The Arlo won’t be my first choice next time. While the space is nice enough the staff are far from a four star experience. Unhelpful and a little clueless at what customer service means. And the toilet paper… I can’t even believe I’m writing this but… it’s that bad.

Great hotel!
I stayed at the Arlo because I was attending a conference at the Javits Center. The location is great. Everything was just great. The outlet in the bathroom didn't work but it was repaired quickly. I highly recommend the hotel. Now, I did not enjoy the food in the restaurant or the café at all. If you don't want a big meal then the choices are very limited. That being said there are so many great restaurants near by.

We had an amazing time at Arlo Midtown, and when we return to New York that's definitely where we'll be staying again. As they tell you on check-in, the rooms are small even by New York standards, but they're comfortable and have everything you need. We had a city view room and asked to be placed on as high a floor as possible. They obliged and we had an amazing view from the 20th floor. The beds are large and super comfy, the shower was excellent and the breakfasts were a real highlight too. Partly because they were so tasty but also because of the wonderful staff. Junior, who served us on many of the mornings, sticks out as meriting particular recognition in that regard. We can't return soon enough.
