The location is great, the staff is amazing just the rooms are so small. That’s typical in New York but if you have a lot of luggage like we did you’ll struggle to find a place to open your bags.

The hotel website falsely advertises on the website that they have partnered with LAZ parking garage. Under the FAQ section on the website it very clearly states that if you park in this parking garage the front desk can validate your ticket for a discounted rate. This is not true, when we went to the front desk to get our ticket validated they told us they validate for a different parking garage which is not listed anywhere on the website, and refused to acknowledge that the website is not up to date even after we pulled it up and showed it to them. Furthermore they charged me an extra fee in addition to the “urban fee” with no explanation of what the charge is for. I’ve stayed at another arlo hotel before and really enjoyed it, but after this will not be coming back again.

We thought that breakfast was included in the price of the stay and were disappointed to find out it wasnt! Our room was not cleaned for days but after telling Management about this, we received a discount. There were always people hanging around the front desk from the hotel management which seemed pointless. Cocktails and soft drinks wete very expensive. Good location.

Room was spotless but it was small, even for two petite people like me and my daughter. There were no closet or at least a cabinet. And where do we get ice? Room felt outdated. Visible calking on the bathroom sink. That’s a no for me. I expect a hotel to be in good shape with high marks regardless 5 star rated or not. The balcony was not what I thought it would be. Separated by plants between other rooms w balcony?! What if someone can just skip through their balcony and tried to go to our room?? I regret booking a room w/ balcony. Hallways are narrow. The only nice areas are the reception and lounge areas. The sundry shop and restaurant. Employees wee

The hotel has an impressive vibe, it’s beautiful, and most of the staff is super friendly. The rooms are very nice and cozy… The problem is that if you get a room on the lower floors, you can hear the people talking in the lobby, and, I couldn’t get good rest because my room’s window faced the street and you can hear everything, ambulances, police, the garbage truck. If you’re going, ask for a room on the higher floors if you want to rest or if you’re a light sleeper. Other than that, it’s a good hotel! Although unfortunately, I don’t think I’d stay there again, at least not at that location, but I would stay at an Arlo.
