    Colorado Hotel Travel Guide

Are you ready to vacation in a state full of alpine mountains, arid deserts, sprawling forests, and high grasslands? If so, Colorado should be the next stop on your travels. There is an abundance of things to do and see during your stay in “The Centennial State,” and whether it’s skiing high peaks or gallivanting around the city, this is a perfect destination to escape with the best deals on Colorado resorts.

    What to Do and Where

If you find yourself in eastern Colorado roaming the vast plains, you’ll want to wander through Picketwire Canyon, located in Comanche National Grassland. Walk in the footprints of dinosaurs that lived 150 million years ago—over 1,300 preserved tracks have been discovered in the rocks so far, and they are accessible by hiking, biking, or horseback riding. After playing Dr. Alan Grant for the day, head west for skiing in Colorado’s most famous eye-candy, the Rockies. Ski resorts in Colorado are around every corner, from Breckenridge to Aspen, so book a stay at the one that suits you best and hit the slopes. Just remember to keep those tips up!

Ready to leave the wild for the hustle and bustle of Denver? Explore Larimer Square for its great shopping. Then refuel with a meal and end the day with a beer or glass of wine. Many downtown Denver hotels are within walking distance or a quick cab ride to the square for your convenience.

    "Beautiful Condos!"
I stayed here with my husband and my son and we all enjoyed it. It was very nice to have a separate area for our son and to have 2 bathrooms in the room. Great location, relaxing for all of us. Really want to go back in the wintertime although summer was beautiful in Breckenridge!

We were just there for one night but loved walking to town and back, using the pool and hot tub, having the restaurants and shops available on prem, and loved our spacious, comfy, well appointed room.

    "Wow!"
If I were to envision a mountain lodge this is exactly what it would be. Our expectations were blown away upon arrival. The beauty of the lodge and the amenities were spot on. Mornings we sipped our coffee on the balcony soaking in the views of the mountain and quaint town. Afternoons were spent hiking, exploring, and shopping. Evenings we enjoyed the many restaurants and bars. We definitely recommend Blue Stag for dinner and beverages.

    "Nice Surprise!"
Nice, clean room with comfy bed and lots of pillows. Clerks and room attendants were all pleasing. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very nice lobby with an indoor swimming pool, a nice fireside area and their own restaurant bar. The food was wonderful, drinks a little watered-down, free breakfast offered omelet bar and complete breakfast choices from cold to hot meals. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, just what I was looking for. The location was with 5-15 minutes of fun activities. I look forward to another stay there on my next visit.

    "Great family lodge like experience"
GREAT family place with lots of wood timber ambience. Lodge has tons of stuff for kids that are included in room rate. Two pools, wonderful game room-air hockey, darts, pool table, chess, checkers, pinball, ping pong, WII, flat screen, books, board games, multiple video games...etc. ALL FREE. They also offer free kayak and water bikes and sailing (if you can rig sailboat!), sand toys, canoes ALL FREE that you can use in man made lake that has mountain back drop. Pool area has sport court for vball, soccer, tennis, bball, etc. There is kid camp that you can drop off for reasonable fee if you need adult time for onsite golf and spa. Considering the room rate 212-282 (august) we thought value was incredible. It has a very nice upscale feel but family/budget friendly. One morning they had birds on display with naturist giving info, movies at night, smores by the fireplace on the beach. One thing I did think weird is that there is no concierge promoting all this great stuff. The location works great for Pikes Peak area activities near Manitou and Royal Gorge activities (rafting, train ride, gorge bridge). Restaurant a bit over priced and food not that great for the $$. Tons of great restaurants nearby.
