Super quiet, reasonable rate, delicious warm cookies upon arrival. Like the old heritage hotel feel and charm. Staff were very friendly. Beds quiet comfortable and clean. Hygienic clean floors and restful colours. Spacious room. However, the breakfast was dismal for hot food, coffee was not to my liking. For $18 buffet flat fee, was not worth it. Dinner on Sunday they were out of most things on the menu, the bar tender was quite jovial and friendly who could see we were disappointed in both availability and quality of food. Room temperature by the time it arrived including the chicken on top of the pasta, we wondered why it took so long when it was undercooked. Lights around the bed didn't work the second of two nights no matter what we did with the switches and the harsh white LED light of the desk lamp was not suitable to light the whole room. Television was great but the channel guide didn't work. Liked the spacious bathroom and distance from sleeping area, and the shower head was powerful, however there was a build up of hair in the tub and sink traps which made for the water to sit before draining - not great when showering to be ankle deep in water draining. Sad to see such minor issues overshadow our visit this time in comparison to a previous visit pre-covid. Parking was very convenient and safe and the location is very central to our trip's purpose of visiting museums and galleries around University Circle.

This hotel has great bones, but it appears to be short staffed and maintainence is an issue. Helpful front desk, but the rooms seem to be updated using a a very tight budget. Random door replaced to sliding door and old casing remains with decades of bad paint jobs and damage remaining. The ventilation system spews out black lint balls/dust. We changed rooms and that room also did the same thing! If you value your respiratory system, don’t stay here. Because of this I wonder about other maintenance issues that are not visible. It’s sad because this truly could be a wonderful hotel with proper upkeep. 6/10 rating in my book

Hotel is in an odd part of town, so you need a car. The hotel feels pretty old and only partially updated. The room was just fine, bed was king size and relatively comfortable. Our room wasn't serviced when we requested it to be.

My original review
Hotel is 100 year old. It’s an absolute bad condition. And luggage trolley is almost damaged and not working, no help to bring luggage, no carpets at front desk. Iinside room, There is no chairs to sit, bathroom faucets are all loose and one of them was not working easily. It seems like Hilton give the name to the truedor arms group and no one is doing quality improvement or inspection in the hotel to make sure the quality is up-to-date and customers who comes in with the Hilton name are taken care of properly. I think it’s a state reportable condition to the Cleveland state, consumer affairs, and Better Business Bureau . It’s a business gimmick. Hopefully I will get time to work on complain to both entities regarding my experience. Thank you.
