Historico Central Hotel
"My 2 kids (9yo and 11yo) and I stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed the experience. The location can’t be beat in the Centro Historico - next to the active and closed-off-to- vehicles Avenida Francisco Madero. It’s a brief walk to the Zocalo and cathedral. Breakfast is included too. There is also an on-site cafe where you can get most things complimentary - soups, sandwiches, salads, most drinks. My kids lived this. Concierge was wonderful and very helpful. I highly recommend using the metro (convenient stop is the Palacio Bellas Artes about a 10 min walk). The metro itself s inexpensive (5 pesos per trip! and the card is about 15 pesos which you have to fill up and can use on buses, trolleys, or subway). Our room was not very big but had everything that we needed with a nice bathroom and shower. Wonderful comfortable beds. A very pleasant stay."
