"Definitely preparing snacks and food, it’s quite a drive to even get food or a local store."

LEGOLAND California Hotel

"The Legoland Hotel combines some great features with a few odd peculiarities. The rooms are fabulously decorated and have lots of features that will appeal to children - bunkbeds, televisions, lego, and a rewarding puzzle. We had a knights and dragons room in the Castle Hotel, which was spacious and fun. It had a mini-fridge, which is good, but I think we would also have benefited from having a microwave. The room is pretty pricey for what you get, and parking at $40 a night is also pretty steep. But the benefit is that you are minutes from the front gate of Legoland and can enter the park early. The hotel has a good sized pool, which we did not use since we went to the water park in Legoland. It also has a couple of play structures which are good for a few minutes' play. Each day there are lego movies outside, which was a nice touch. The downsides: the check-in process is pretty impersonal and I found it a little difficult to find staff members to help with questions. Breakfast was included in our room rate but getting into breakfast at the restaurant was challenging: we needed to be ready to wait for around half an hour before sitting to breakfast. Since breakfast is a buffet I think it could be far better organized. It was a significant problem for us since we wanted to take advantage of the early entry to Legoland."

"Hotel was clean quiet and front desk clerk was friendly. Looked dated from the outside has some 70’s vibes for sure. But the room was clean and modern much to my surprise. I would absolutely stay here again. Parking lot was 3/4 full and I saw people coming and going as I checked in about 10:30pm but they looked like families and fellow travelers all quiet and kept to themselves as pulling luggage out and going to and from their room and vehicles."
