"We loved the location. We had a view of the beach from our balcony and the hotel is literally across the street from Carlsbad park and beach. The hotel is old but nearly completely renovated. We loved the breakfast room and patio views as well. We would stay here again!"

"Basic motel within 5 min walk to closest beach entrance , rooms got some updates and ok overall. Area feels better than where similarly priced motels near I-5 are , it, still few homeless can be seen around. With right price it can be a good deal if you don’t mind infrequent cleaning service."
