"Nice hotel in the mountains!"
Quiet hotel in the mountains. A little disappointed that our condo was on the second floor and that the closest staircase was blocked off by caution tape the entire week that we were there! Few choices of good restaurants in the area. I would recommend the Oaks Grille - stay away from the concierge recommendation of D'Carlos!

"Hotel met our needs"
We had a good experience at this Days Inn. Our room was ready when we checked in, but it was on the second floor. We are both in our 80's and there was no elevator, so the next morning I asked if there was a first floor room. There was and the staff was kind enough to move our belongings when it was ready in the afternoon even while we were out.

"Good for Last Minute"
Before the negative, let me start with check-in. The hotel staff was wonderful at check-in. When I went to the room, supposed to be non-smoking, it smelled like smoke. I went back and they sent someone into the room to spray, but end up changing me into another room which was better. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. The negative side was that someone stood outside our door smoking and talking at 2am.

"Just okay for the 1 night"
The hotel staff was great. Friendly and very helpful. The hotel was clean but noisy. I could hear our neighbors most of the night like they were in my own room! The vending machine wouldn't work and we only had soap in our bathroom, any other things you had to bring or buy out of the vending machines. My daughter did like the fresh cookies in the morning. It was okay for the 1 night that we were in town although for that price I expected better.

"Beautiful Mini-Resort for Relaxation and Fun"
This is a mini resort about 30 minutes away from downtown San Diego. There are only 5 rooms, and it's down a residential road, so you have to carefully follow directions and drive slowly to get there. The adobe house is nestled among palm trees while beautifully situation next to a vineyard, several orchards, and a koi pond. There is no check in, rather when you reach the front door the owners will meet you or there is a number you can call them at. They check you in on a cell phone, and then they give you a tour of the property, and two keys- one to your bedroom door and one to the guest entry of the house. The rooms are dark and adorned with unique artwork, chandeliers and quirky furnishings. Our bathroom was tiled and had a keurig with several flavors. We had a mini-fridge with ice water already stocked in it as well as a tv and a writing desk. There was a swimming pool with big fluffy towels, and even a game room with a pool table, speakers, and a full sized fridge. We really enjoyed eating our breakfast on the patio looking out over the pool and lush hills of San Diego. The views were outstanding, and we liked it so much that we opted for a second night! The owners were very friendly but non-invasive of our time. I thought it would be weird staying at such a small place, but I loved it! There was also a friendly dog named Ray roaming the property, but he was a perfect gentleman at all times, and he has really short hair, so he didn't bother our allergies.
