Comfortable beds

This home is older and historic so things were just painted over to look good which was good enough for me. The beds were super comfortable (we didn’t utilize the sleeper sofa). The location was great this was my 3 rd time to Columbus in the last 4 months for my son who’s at ft benning. The home was filthy sticky stuff on the floor and hadn’t been swept or vacuumed. We cleaned the mess up and used a rag to dry the floor and it was black when done so clearly hadn’t been mopped. We did message the host they offered to send someone out but we had already done it. The bedroom with the twin only has a curtain as a door not an issue for us but I feel I would have liked to know. We didn’t use the stove or dishwasher just the refrigerator and shower. So overall nice home but they need to seek out new cleaning crew

FILTHY & FALLING APART. This is an ongoing problem that they simply refuse to fix. Do not rent from

This is an old historic home and I do not have a problem with a home being old as long as it is kept clean and is up to code and safety issues are not a problem. THIS HOUSE HAS ALL BUT BEEN ABANDONED AND SHOULD BE CONDEMNED REALLY. I WAS CHARGED 516 FOR TWO NIGHTS AND WE ARRIVED AT MIDNIGHT THE FIRST NIGHT WHEN WE ARRIVED WE NOTICED THAT BOTTOM FLOOR WINDOWS WOULD NOT LOCK OR SHUT ALL THE WAY AND HAD NO SCREENS OR PROTECTION. THE BACK DOOR LEADING TO THE BACKYARD WILL NOT LOCK AND WAS WIDE OPEN WHEN WE ARRIVED. THE SOFA HAS STAINS ALL OVER IT THE DINING ROOM TABLE LOOKS LIKE IT WAS USED AND NEVER EVEN WIPED DOWN THE KITCHEN FLOOR WAS NOT SWEPT OR MOPPED THE LAUNDRY ROOM HOW MOUSE DROPPINGS ALL OVER IT AND IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE KITCHEN THE FLOORS HAD HOLES IN THEM THE WALLS HAD CRACKS IN THEM ALL OF THE OUTLETS HAD DIRTY FINGERPRINTS ALL OVER THEM MY SHEETS WERE STAINED AND MY COMFORTER STAINED OR JUST DIRTY SPIDER WEBS ALL OVER THE PLACE. OVEN LOOKED LIKE IT HADN'T BEEN CLEANED IN YEARS HOUSE HAD NOT BEEN PAINTED I'M SURE IN YEARS BLACK MOLD GROWING IN PARTS OF HOME WHICH IS VERY HAZARDOUS TO HUMANS AND ANIMALS. FIRE ALARMS MISSING FROM KETCHUP AND ONE OF THE BEDROOMS AND BATTERIES NOT CHANGED IN ONE WEDGE BEEPED EVERY 10 SECONDS KEEPING MY SON UP ALL NIGHT LONG. BACKYARD IS COMPLETELY OVERGROWN AND HAS RUSTY METAL AIR CONDITIONING UNIT YOU COULD NOT ENJOY A BARBECUE OUT THERE IF YOU WANTED TO. TOWEL RACK AND BATHROOM BROKEN OFF WALL WITH BIG SCREWS STICKING OUT

A historical built age look inside. From uneven wooden floors to clear door knobs A hook link latch lock for the bathroom door cod like frames for the bedding. A vintage dinner table, ceiling light features and wall accessories. An admiration of preservation. Thank you

This property needs a little Tlc

When we first opened the door, we noticed that one of the ceiling lights have dropped down from mounting smoothly in the ceiling. The refrigerator rocked back and forth when you opened it. A lot of bugs in the overhead kitchen light. Intake air filter is on the floor ( older home ) Dead roach, and filthy. Toilet seat broken. And much more.Worst VRBO home I have ever rented.

Deceptive pictures - filthy place

First of all to be fair, the location is great! Good neighborhood - right across from a beautiful park - we came here to evacuate from Hurricane Milton with our two little dogs. However, place dirty and in major disrepair - some safety issues too (electrical socket in kitchen loose and hazard), bugs in light fixture in overhead kitchen, towel rack missing in bathroom, mattress box springs broken and mattress awful, only one tv in whole house, back yard messy with piles of yucky brown stuff my dog rolled in, gross splatters of old food on kitchen blinds, couch old and very uncomfortable - whole house unkempt and DIRTY! I wouldn't even use the yucky dirty cabinets in the kitchen, there is more but I think you get the picture. When I called company they gave me half of cleaning fee back - HALF! Are they out of their minds. Shame on Patriot Homes - CEO is supposed to be a veteran - I am a veteran too and I would never allow such bad customer service! Don't rent from them! We found another house in same neighborhood, same price and beautiful!

Ran as a corporation

Over all stay was good. Bad parts were the owners apparently own a lot of homes all over the country and it is ran as such. You get the basics but any little extras that make it feel like a home isn’t there. More like a big older hotel. Appliances are extremely oldAppliances, out of date and rusting. The paint on the walls are very sloppy and the outside paint is beyond bad(if I had a painter do that kind of job they would be fire asap). But the worst is there was a change in the length the we could stay. I contacted them a week before the cut off of getting a full refund if I cancelled and they ignored my message until the deadline pasted were I couldn’t get a refund then told be it was now to short of notice to change, like it was my fault. The good things hmmmm the neighborhood is excellent and quiet. Have stayed in this neighborhood a couple times at other Vrbo homes and recommend it greatly just not this one unless no others are available. Over all not a horrible experience but ended up spending more money than it should have been and fall well short of other Vrbo houses I have stayed at.

Great vacation home

This was a very nice and comfortable place to stay. A very beautiful home and you felt like you were right at home. Very close to downtown Columbus and river. The host were very informative and very helpful. Made the whole trip worth it.

Amazing location to visit our soldier

Loved our location and having a pet friendly home away from home while visiting our soldier. A few aesthetics could be attended to, but all and all we loved our Patriot Home and stay. Plus, they helped get an important item back to us that we left.

Not worth the price

Door knob was missing. Knob on the sink would fall off. Vents were very very dusty. House needs maintenance do on it. It was a very nice neighborhood. We all loved the park across the street.

Cute house has everything you need BUT

Pro's: The property was a good location across from a park. Close to everything, with in15 mins from Fort Benning. The house is older, as in early 1900's old. The house is in a historic part of the town. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels and comforters, pillows. Chick and rustic style. The AC worked amazingly great. They have all kitchen and cooking appliances, this is a plus. Hot and cold water worked great. This house has everything you need to be comfortable. Con's: As with all old buildings, this property had a large amount of paint/wallpaper peeling. The structure it self is old and deteriorating. The old range can only reach a medium high temp. This is not a huge deal just take an electric burner if you want to sear meat (I had to go buy 3 to be able to cook fast) There were several spots with recent water damage. There was a storm on our last nigh and we could tell there was water working its way in the house. This explains the musty smell. Black mold. No door on the "daybed" room, just a curtain. One chair missing on dinning room table. All these things could be overlooked as you would only be here temporarily. All in all 3 stars. Could be 5 stars if the house was updated and all the damaged wood replaced but since everything "works" and is to be used temporarily for a couple days you should be comfortable.

Special long awaited trip to see my sons army graduation

I was excited to see my son graduate from Basic training. We had not see him at all for 3 months. I rented this house so he could have space to play his guitars. He also wanted us to bring our two yorkies. This house was very old which I didn’t mind at all. The location was great. I noticed exposed wiring above the shower and that lead my eye to black mold all over the ceiling. When I sent pictures to the agency she said it was just mildew. I’ve had experience with black mold and mildew, I know the difference. The rugs were nasty with stains all over them. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The second day we came in and our dogs food bowl Was filled with ants. They offered no refunds to us.. I ended the trip with a major migraine. Just disappointing. I wish I could add pictures

Close to restaurants, grocery, etc. Very close to downtown Columbus. Shopping, restaurants, and strolling along the riverfront. The house is across the street from a beautiful and family friendly park.

Home away from home was Incredible. The home/cottage was the center location for everything.

Nice place, helpful owner/manager, worked out well

Great little house, nicely appointed, nicely located near big park and downtown restaurants and white water rafting and beautiful old neighborhood. A few maintenance items were handled quickly and professionally. Friendly neighbors. I’d recommend this house to friends and family. Good value for the price. And lived the American flag hanging by the front door!

We will be back!

This was a last minute booking and worked out perfect! I have family in Phenix City so this was only a short drive from there. The neighborhood is perfect and close enough to Publix, shopping and food options. The house is adorable and is located across the road from a park. We also really enjoyed sitting on the back porch together enjoying our take out BBQ! The back yard is also fenced in which is great for children and your pup!

Family Visit

We had a great time. The home very charming, we fell in love with it. Grilled out every night on deck. Our fur babies enjoyed the fenced in backyard, but the yard does need some upkeep. Will definitely stay here again.
