Great Weekend!

I was in town for the Chris Rock show at the fox theater, So I wanted to stay in a hotel close to the venue so I would not have to drive to the show, Uhm I had no idea it was literally across the street lol! When I pulled up to the hotel, the valet directed me to the parking lot, so I parked and went inside to check in and the lobby was amazing and so was the staff. The young lady checked me in and I was off to the ninth floor, when I opened the door I was floored It was like a luxury high rise apartment , the colors, furniture, flat screen on the wall, walk in shower and the amazing view from terrace(not accessible) was like a scene from a music video and the bed was so comfortable the best night sleep I've had in years, oh yeah so anyway I was running late so I showered and changed and went across the street to the show which was excellent! Overall Great weekend!!!

Disappointing, Very Disappointing

Pros: The history, architecture and location. Livingston Restaurant is always a treat.
Cons: Keep the hotel clean, orderly and properly repaired.
I have stayed at The Georgian several times, but after this stay I can't return. The internet did not work properly. The linens were not clean. The decorative pillow's on the bed were stained and ripped. The dust ruffle looked like a dog had chewed on it. The finish on the furniture was peeling and there were drill holes where the desk has been repaired and not finished. Paint was peeling off the walls in the bathroom and the shower looked as if it had not been cleaned. I let the hotel staff know about the deplorable condition of the room and they sent housekeeping to redo the room. One of the housekeeping staff looked at the room and said "It should not be in this condition" he apologized. Management really could not care if the room was satisfactory or not as they never attempted to contact me. It is a shame the "Grand Dame" of hotels in Atlanta is not being taken care of properly. I will miss her, but there are other hotels in the area that take pride in keeping their property clean and repaired.

Great place to stay!

The only negative was our request for adjoining/close rooms was not important. We could have been further away in proximity. We booked two months ahead and certainly something could have been done.

Nice location for a down town Atlanta stay.

Pros: The location and the architecture.
Cons: An emphasis on how parking is handled.
Location: We were there for an event at the Fox Theater. The Fox Theater is literally right out the front door of the hotel, so that was nice.
The hotel is a grand old hotel with spacious rooms. It is an older hotel so its a little rough here and there, but nothing to worry about. The only issue I had was with parking. It was not clear what to do with my parking swipe card when I checked out. I had to have the card to get in and out of the parking garage, yet the desk clerk asked me for it as I was leaving. I told her it was in my vehicle so she told me to drop it in the drop box which is next to the card reader. All was fine until I got to the reader and the card had already been deactivated. I sat there for a while with other cars behind me until a valet came by and let me out.?. I obviously did not do what was the norm, but it was not made clear what I was suppose to done either.

Historic hotel, great Midtown location

Pros: Quiet, historic, clean, huge rooms/bathrooms/closets, great location
Cons: Decor was a bit sparse.
Location: In a GREAT location for theater, going to the High Museum, and Midtown nightlife/ restaurants. Also an excellent location for business travelers, as
Surprisingly quiet, even though our room on the 7th floor faced Peachtree Street. Our room was huge and so was our bathroom, and the walk-in closet was the biggest one I've seen in a hotel--ever! Staff was nice. It's not a luxury hotel, but it's a lovely historic building, totally clean and comfortable. We got a great value for the price and would stay there again.

Great hotel for events at the Fabulous Fox Theatre

Pros: The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful.
Cons: Include a microwave and refrigerator in each room. The room could have been opened up more by removing the 2 extra closets.
Location: Right across the street from the Fabulous Fox Theatre, close to Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, Margaret Mitchell House & Museum and Piedmont Park.
We were upgraded to what we thought was a recently remodeled room. However, that didn't seem to be the case as the carpet had a few holes, the furniture had a lot of scratches and the shower leaked water all over the floor. Was glad to have a king-size bed, but it was hard as a rock. Still trying to figure out why any room would need a LARGE walk-in closet plus two additional closets. The only artwork on the walls was a very small picture - about an 8x10 just above the desk. There was a coffee pot, but no microwave nor was there a small refrigerator.

Great location

We were very impressed with this hotel. Loved everything about it except in one of the bed rooms you could hear every noise outside. Great location for music midtown.

AMAZING!!!!

Pros: everything
Cons: more cover for the bed
Location: Downtown Atlanta Things to do: Fox Vortex World of Beer Baraonda Restaurant Botanical Gardens
Such an amazing room, only thing that was a draw back was the cover situation. There needs to be at least a comforter on the bed, instead of light blanket and a quilt.
