Short, two night stay

Booked room with two queen beds, got room with two doubles. Was told hotel had overbooked. Took 20/25 minutes to check in. Hotel location is very good. We walked to the aquariam and civil rights museum. The Corner Bakery, located across the street, is excellent. Very good food, very reasonable prices.

Nice hotel in the middle of Atlanta

Awesome hotel. We only stayed one night but will definitely stay here again. Our king size bed was very comfortable.

Staycation

The gym facilities are amazing. The gentleman working the bell stand outside the hotel were very informative and provided excellent customer service. Finally Helenat the front desk gave me extraordinary customer service. She made the entire experience superb.

Easy check in – I even got upgraded from a queen room to a king room when the desk associate noticed I was going to be there for four nights. Very clean, soft and plentiful towels, all-around great room.

Small Room bad pillows

Pros: Location
Cons: Most everything.
Location: Right in the center of everything Atlanta. Too much to say too much to do.
Poor directions from the staff led to us having to wander the hotel looking for our room. The room was very small. the bed was uncomfortable. We had three pillows for the queen bed and they were poorly formed and seemed near the end of their life. Steam iron leaked hot water almost burning my hand. Only decaf for the coffee pot in the room. No hand towels. The list seems to go on and on. Nothing terrible but nothing great here either. Definitely not what I expected from one of the most famous of Atlanta's hotels.

Loud area not the place if you want to rest.

Hotel overall was not bad but it needs some upgrades. The location is right in the middle of downtown so it's loud inside the rooms. The rooms are clean but they sheets are old as well as the towels. They need to upgrade but not a bad place management just needs to maintain it a little better.

Nice Hotel

Cons: There was no parking on the hotel lot/location.
Hotel staff that checked us in was GREAT! I can't rate hotel facilities because didn't get the opportunity to use any. My only feedback would be to let out of town guest KNOW that there is no FREE parking AT THE ACTUAL HOTEL. There was short drive distance for hotel parking, yet when making traveling arrangements this is important to clarify. Otherwise, I would book this hotel again.

Hurricane Matthew Evacuee

Pros: The hotel was very nice and had an excellent location. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants as well as the aquarium and centennial park.
When we had to evacuate from the Hilton Head Island area during hurricane Matthew we decided to go as far as Atlanta. The staff at the hotel was extremely helpful. The ensured we had the space we needed for both my husband and I to work from our room. When we needed to extend our stay, they allowed us to extend the corner king room we were already in so we didn't need to pack and change rooms. Everyone from the valets to the housekeeping staff were so helpful and nice.
