We did not stay at this property because they no longer held a contract at this location. We were moved to the "Drayton" and enjoyed our stay there. The location was perfect, clean place and it felt safe. There was a lot of street noise and from the neighboring places but that's no fault to the owners. It was only annoying during the day and didn't affect our sleep at all. Nice hot showers and comfy bed. I would recommend staying at the Drayton.

Great apartment right in the middle of downtown Savannah. The parking is a few blocks away so use the back alleyway to unload any luggage. The only problems we had was the pull out sofa bed was awful. I didn’t expect much from a pull out but it was like a wire fence with a sheet on it. If you need an extra sleeping space, just use the actual sofa. I wish there was a tv in the bedroom as well but other than that, it’s a nice place. Easy entry, walkable to almost everything. It can get loud at times with people walking above you or the street but that’s to be expected in an older building. I would definitely stay there again and we had an amazing experience in the city.

We actually got a notice from Sonder a few days before our vacation, stating that they had moved us to a different location😳Apparently they lost the Altmayer. We were moved to Broughton which did work out okay. Our unit was clean and nice but our neighbors were very loud. The hvac system was also VERY loud so not much sleep. Location was great.

Pointers for the perfect stay.
It’s a different experience. Overall… we loved it… but the way Sonder worked/s is no desk attendant, everything’s by code (which was OK, after a day or so). Secondly, this particular stay doesn’t have parking set at the building, BUT, they have a deal with a couple of parking ramps near by. ADD $20 PER NIGHT to your room stay if you need guaranteed parking. Like the hotel, the parking doesn’t have an attendant… and if you make reservations via the Sonder Stays app, you’ll get the discount. Again, a bit of a learning curve. Be sure to not simply purchase another night of parking if you don’t move your car out of the lot, then back in (before the expiration) … or you’ll be stuck in the garage without an attendant to assist. If it’s an extended stay and you don’t want to carry your suitcases, etc. a block or so, you’ll want to use the alley behind the building to unload/load your bags - if you can’t readily find a parking spot, which can be tough to do. Which is a nice transition… it is tough to find a close parking spot, because THE LOCATION IS AMAZING! Bull St., The riverwalk, the squares, churches, homes, shopping, dining … in the heart of the historic district. It really was the perfect locale, short of spending a fortune on a full suite on the river. Knowing what we know about the nuances now, we’d stay again in a heartbeat. I wish we had a heads up like this prior.

This property is a really great bang for your buck if you are looking to travel on a budget. The converted apartment gives you a great amount of space to relax in with the hotel amenities like a hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner, and body wash in the bathroom. The couch in the living room was super comfortable and the bed was comfortable, but firm. This place would be perfect for a long term stay as well because there is a full washer/dryer in the unit and a large kitchen that is stocked with necessities for you to use. Sonder is very mindful that the location might contribute to some outside noise at night due to the local nightlife and many bars/restaurants below, so they provided us with two sets of earplugs on the night stand and two sound machines to use at night, which my mom and I really enjoyed as a comfort aspect even though we didn't need them for necessity (aka the drown-out sound purpose). We stayed during the week, so we didn't really hear any noise at all, but this might come in more handy for weekend visits. The bed is also in an out-cove of the apartment, so it is basically separate from the living room, which also worked great for my early-rising mom to hang out in while I slept in. Sonder is also really accommodating for storing luggage while you are waiting for check in/check out, so that was an added bonus! Location's fantastic, everything is w/in 15 minute walk.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and I will definitely be looking into their other properties!

I absolutely loved my stay at Sonder Altmayer. They thought of absolutely everything such as two different white noise machines as well as ear plugs incase the city is too loud, which it wasn’t. It was very clean and cozy. I will be coming back to stay for sure!

Check in was convenient, as was the location. I like to walk, and I was able to cover the city very well on foot. Communication was great, and I appreciated the baggage storage room. The apartment was spotless, the shower was hot, and the bed was comfy. Perfect for a solo traveler or a couple, and I saved a good chunk of money by staying here rather than in one of the nearby hotels. This being my first time staying with Sonder, I was initially a little baffled by the need to log into their site to do anything, but now that I've got the system down I will definitely stay with them again.

Right in the heart of the best part of Savannah…once you’re parked you can eat, drink, shop, and sightsee so easily. Sonder makes it easy to access the room and it’s clean and well thought out. Very reasonably priced too.

Location & the suite itself were great. Heater wasn’t working so well so took a while to warm up. If you will be arriving late and will need need 4 bath towels, make sure to let them know ahead of time as building not staffed. If you drive, the parking garage is a shirt walk away. You’ll also want to set up Sonder and iParkIt apps.
