"Upon arrival, staff was not the friendliest nor accommodating. Asked for extra towels, it never arrived. Elevator was in maintenance multiple times and needed to use staff elevator. Website stated $15 for parking, we were overcharged $20 since they also charge the day of the checkout. Breakfast was good and room was clean."

"Room smelled horrible. The sofas looked so nasty and just hideous thus not even a thought sitting on them. The bed sheets were also nasty with visible disgusting stains on them. Even the additional blanket on top of closet had disgusting stains. We asked them to replace the sheets, and just based on the immediate attitude of personnel was obvious they were not going to do anything about it. They said they would, but with an undertone that it was evident it was just a response to make us go away. Suffice to say they did not change the sheets at all, even though they had a few days to do so. They did not have signs to hang outside of room for "do not disturb", and they told us they did not have them but were coming soon. The pool was out of service, and also told us was coming soon. The Comfort Inn & Suites Golden does not even compare to a 1 star motel. Just horrible."
