Nice Hotel, excessive deposit still not refunded.
The stay was fine and the location was just what we needed. However, the very large deposits charged to my card was excessive and it still has not been refunded even though my stay was 16 days ago. I am not a bank loaning money for weeks to a corporation. This practice is questionable.

We were there for a concert. We called ahead to see if we could use the pool before we checked in. To our surprise we were able to check in early. But when we went to the pool. There was a rap DJ and a lot of drunk ass people and it was so loud we could stay. Not saying anything bad about rap and drunk ass people but not the chill pool side experience you want. This wasn’t just my opinion but pretty much all the people we saw leaving and getting back on the elevator. Lastly the air conditioning was so loud it made it hard to sleep.

Our top floor king room is small but nice. Musician Bill in the bar was wonderful. Elevators and hallways are hot and small. We haven’t been to the pool yet. Pretty typical boutique hotel.

The service was subpar, the person that checked us in stated that my wife and I were looking at her weird which we were looking at her because she was giving a weird look as we checked in. We stayed at the hotel for 5 days and we did not have our room cleaned once. We even asked if the hotel could come clean our hotel and stated they would come the next day ( our 3rd day of staying there). I had to take towels off of the hotel cleaning service rack because they did not come give us towels or clean. The house keeping came at 5 pm on our 3rd day of our stay, my wife and I were showering and they tried to barge in. I asked kindly if they could come back later or the next day due to it being inconvenient, the house keeping didn’t know any English. We never received cleaning… when we checked out the man at the desk said you are “all set” did not even ask us how our stay was. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel, it’s not worth the money, your time or your peace of mind when traveling. If you are looking for rude customer service and a dirty room then you should stay at sonesta. Please don’t waste your money at this establishment you will be highly disappointed!!

When I checked in the employee was particularly unfriendly and seemed annoyed when I informed him that I should receive a discount for parking. After checking in I noticed the amount was higher than the quoted reservation. I had to speak to a different employee to find out they had placed a $250 hold on my account on top of the reservation amount. I also found out the previous employee had not added parking to my reservation in spite of me saying we needed it. The elevators were small, The hallways were in need of new carpeting, and felt outdated. Our bathtub was clogged with hair that wasn’t ours since none of us had bathed at that point we ended up needing someone to drain the tub, unclog it that evening, then return the following morning to make sure the fix worked. The WiFi did not work very well, the breakfast was overpriced. The “rooftop” pool was not what was advertised. The price we paid was for location and that’s about it. At check out I ran into the same employee who checked us in and he had the same annoyed attitude as before. Will not be coming back!
