I encountered extraordinarily rude staff as I arrived for check in. After learning that parking in the hotel garage would be $55, I found other parking, then could not enter the hotel upon my return. There were a number of valets who simply watched my attempt to enter without any effort to help until I enquired why the door wouldn't open. Finally, one irritated valet badged me in with no word spoken to me. Three people at the front desk did not acknowledge my presence at the counter until a manager entered the room and asked if I had arrived for check in. It was an extremely unpleasant experience for me, a fatigued, traveling (usually remote) college instructor, in Denver for Back-to-College day.

Bartenders were slow. We had a bunch of black hair in our shower. Both of us are blonde. I wish that we could’ve paid for the DJ stay longer. I mean it was OK. It was a comfortable stay.

The Sonesta would not honor my $25 per day food credit. They also double charged me for parking, $55. They checked our room in without asking for ID and we were given someone else's reservation. I say this hotel totally failed us.

Caveat Emptor

Hotel doesn’t honor their own “confirmed” reservations booked months in advance. Double booked our room, had my wife and kid with me…we had no choice but to take the king room with a rollaway bed and sh*te food they called ‘made to order’ breakfast @ $26/ person as compensation. Desk staff was rude and incompetent, when I asked to speak to a manager about how they do business they acted aloof like I was the a-hole for even asking and I felt as though they’ve done this a few times, if not all the time. The response I received from the front desk “manager” felt scripted and very disingenuous.The “hotel” itself is dated and feels worn out like a used car from the ‘80s. Torn upholstery on furniture, painters tape still in areas and the “perfume” they use smells like a strip club, seriously bring your own pillows. The only nice part about this “hotel” were the service staff, they were all very kind and friendly. Needless to say will never stay in a Sonesta again. Also beware they charged us for the $7 bottled water although room service never entered our room….and we never touched the bottles… they tried to sneak that charge in as a going away gift. Absolutely one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed with.

Check in staff wasn’t that friendly and distracted with another staff member and one of my key cards didn’t work. The elevators took forever each time you had to use them. Tried to use the mobile valet option so our car would be ready but we got a message saying “difficulties finding your ticket”. The guest in front of us was already waiting 40 minutes for his car. Very unorganized. Most likely not staying here in the future.

Vallet parking takes too long. My car wasn't even entered in the system. Waited 50 minutes for my car. Whoever answers the phone is unpleasant. The breakfast wasn't worth the 25 dollars, it was complimentary level. I dont mind paying for quality but it wasn't every good.

Good place

Hotel room was clean and the bed comfortable. Air conditioning was set to 61 degrees when I entered the room. This was not only frigid but a terrible waste of energy. Cleaning crew should adjust that. Location is good with many restaurants nearby and quick access to transit. Staff was friendly and helpful except one young man at the front who seemed annoyed when asked questions, everyone else was great. Overall wish I had more time there.

Great property overall. We loved the pool and the rooms were really nice. The only downside was mandatory valet parking. I would much rather park my own truck to reduce risk of damage and save a lot of time at checkout.

Nice hotel for short tourist visit but 'wet room' style bathroom not good. Floor flooded far too easily and did not drain well. Had to use towels to mop up or build barrier from shower to stop whole gloor getting wet. Hotel well located for downtown facilities.
