A bit of confusion as I went to the incorrect hotel/convention center. Only a minor inconvenience as however I was in the parking garage for 9 minutes and was charged 17.00. Perhaps next time I’ll learn to read a bit further so I don’t make the same mistake.

The hotel is beautiful. Everything a Hyatt Tegency should be except we booked a double queen room and when we went to our room it was the smallest single King I’ve ever been in. It didn’t work for my 18 year old son and me. I went to the front desk and told them of the situation and they said they overbooked and sold out all their double queens. I don’t understood that’s even an ok hotel policy to do that when we booked and paid for the double queen room. They had nothing else to offer us but a sofa bed in a king room which also is not something we were ok with for multiple nights. We left very frustrated at 9 pm with no room in town yet.

We needed to be close to the Fitzsimons Medical Campus and this property was the perfect location for us to walk to our appointments. It would have been a perfect stay except for the construction pounding that started at 7am and the malfunctioning front door that slammed into me as I left the lobby. (And the staff that watched with disinterest, failing to respond to a near serious injury to me, but promptly calling maintenance staff to fix it.)

Parking isn’t free and $15 per night. Pool is outside on second floor and great on the rooftop. Front staff was not friendly and I felt like I was bothering them by having to check in and out of the hotel. Food at restaurant was delicious. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are nice and big. However, there are no comforters on the bed. They are just two sheets. You have to park in a parking garage that is not connected to the hotel. There’s no security in the parking garage and it’s open to a public street that feels very unsafe. They should offer security to escort you to the hotel or have security officers at the entrances. The staff was delightful and so helpful.

We’ve stayed here a few times and will probably do so in the future. The only complaint I have is the beds are not the most comfortable and sheets are a very rough texture. Otherwise this hotel is very clean, easy to navigate, and service is wonderful.
