Let me lead off by saying that, overall, our stay at Casablanca Inn was awesome. It wasn't without some hiccups, however. When we arrived (around sunset), it had been a cool Monday in St. Augustine, with highs only in the 50's and lows in the 30's. Check-in was simple and quick, but when we got to our room, it was freezing cold! The minisplit unit was blowing cold air and didn't respond to any changes in the thermostat. The young lady at the front desk didn't know anything about operating the unit, and said that, since the units were used primarily for cooling, sometimes the heat function did not work well. She offered a small electric heater to get us through the night and we gladly accepted it. We plugged it in and at least had some warmth...for a few minutes until the circuit breaker tripped. Again, the desk clerk didn't know where the breaker panel was and did not offer any additional help. We went to bed, thankful for warm covers. I'm not bashing the young lady at the desk. But a bit more training, and some documentation on the minisplit remote controls, and on the whereabouts of all the breaker panels serving guest rooms, might be a good idea in the future. We were awakened early the next morning when all the lights in the room suddenly came on and we knew the maintenance man (Bob - he was awesome!) had arrived. Bob surmised that the minisplit only needed to be put in HEAT mode, but the button to do so was hidden under a cover on the remote. (facepalm...)

The room was spotless and housekeeping came in daily to make the bed and bring fresh bath towels. We had a garden room on the first floor and we loved all the amenities...king bed, sofa with table converting to a desk, two large screen tv's, luxury bath and shower, patio area in the secret garden and convenience to St George St. Breakfast was included and we got to choose from the regular cafe menu. We each had a complimentary martini nightly from the martini bar. Service all around was very good and the staff was courteous and engaging. Highly recommend.

A very nice stay in the garden room. Beautiful clean room. The bed was soft. Parking was great. Service at their restaurant was fabulous. Martini excellent. It comes free with the room. Very close to the fort and St. George’s street. The breakfast comes with the room. It was excellent as well.

Room was very clean. Service was great. Price ( we booked early so that might matter) was great. Include drinks, parking and breakfast and was delicious. Micro complaint the soap and shampoo were so low end it would make Walmart jealous. So yes micro complaint… hot water was tricky in shower, but probably old plumbing , etc.
