The staff was hot and cold. There was no consistency with the decency of staff. Some were very rude and one gentleman was very nice. Very old property, needs upgrades, Advertising pool but there is only a hot tub and it was never cleaned. Breakfast left something to be desired. No room service for 3 days. Good location as you can see the ocean from top floor rooms and easy to get to the beach.

This is a good hotel for good basic lodging. It won’t win any architectural awards but it has ample covered parking 4 block walking distance to the beach and the Hermosa Beach Pier restaurant area. This is around the corner from the famed Comedy & Magic Club, one of the best comedy clubs in LA. I definitely would stay here again.

Decent place, great location
We got the jacuzzi room, it was totally fine. The wall heater in the room worked great, heated up the room quickly, and adjusted easily. Everything was totally fine, nothing glamorous, but great for the price!

Good location, room is clean, everything works. Keep in mind that for parking paid $10. The only thing that spoiled the stay was the neighbors who were fighting all night.

Simple, no frills, but clean and accommodating
I stayed two nights here and enjoyed my stay. I'd stay again. It's a simple, no frills, but clean and accommodating spot. The bed is very comfortable and the heating and AC worked well. There's a good-sized fridge but no microwave. I liked that there's a free breakfast option too, even if it's simple muffins and bagels and corn flakes. The black out curtains were confusingly behind the sheer curtain and hidden, but I asked the front desk person and he was very friendly and helped me find it. Slept like a log. No light got in. The only unpleasant thing was the toilet didn't flush well. But all else was smooth.
