in universal city if thats where you are going

Pros: clean comfortable for what we did it was a good location for what and where we wanted
Cons: clean the pool properly every night stop measuring the drinks at the bar, at least give me a jack and ginger where i can actually taste the jack
Location: universal studios right there goes w/o saying citiwalk for us it was good location for petersons auto museum santa monica the boulevard
$20 for a mixed and measured drink??? garbage no reduced fee or convenient parking for handicapped people??? crap pool not cleaned every night??? crap was told would get a phone call from a manager??? never happened steve at the front desk tried hard to be accommodating but at the end of the day all he could do was say ill have someone call you,no power or authority to pull the trigger and make a decision about the problem and make a customer happy I understand its LA but that doesnt mean you can take advantage of us, dinner at citiwalk was cheaper than the hotel

summer vacation to universal studios

Went with my family. 2 boys 7&12. We had a great view of the park. The staff was informational. Shuttle to the park was easy. It was a little difficult to park our rental, go through the ballroom and walk all the way around to a second elevator to our room. Other than that, the stay was great. Rooms were clean.

Read the fine print regarding your discounted room

Location: Here and the adjacent Sheraton are as close as you can get to Universal Studios.
The hotel itself was great - I had stayed there before - that's why I chose to stay there this time. The hotel is a high-rise with spectacular views in all directions - and of course it's right there next to Universal Studios - where I was taking my daughter - as a single parent- for the trip of a lifetime to Universal Studios and Disney. Unfortunately I had no idea that in Travelocity's room description term "Room, Accessible, Bathtub" meant for the room advertised- that this would only be limited to the first three floors of the Hilton only -and no view that I hoped to share with my daughter on her first trip to Los Angeles. This is what the check-in staff relayed to me when I asked for a room on higher floors. The view, and the hotels proximity to Universal Studios were the reason I chose this hotel/deal, given a cost that is normally out of my price range. This made for a very disappointing stay - feeling that we were second class at Hilton.

Dear James, Thank you for taking the time to write us about your experience with us and the site you booked your room. We are sorry that the view you were looking for was not available per Travelocity... We can see how that would be a downer when it came to the views, especially for your daughter! We sure hope that the rest of your stay and time at Universal Studios was fun, exciting and relaxing. We would love to have you back in the near future, and again happy belated birthday to your daughter! Angie M., Marketing Coordinator. Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City

Close to Universal Studios

Cons: The meals we had at the hotel were just okay, but there are many good restaurants nearby at City Walk. Didn't try the buffet meals.
Great, clean, hotel within easy walking distance of Universal Studios and City Walk (Similar to Downtown Disney but for Universal Studios). Quick check-in and check-out. Very helpful and friendly staff willing to help with suggestions on what to do and how to get around.

Nice hotel close to Universal Studios.

Beautiful, clean hotel near Universal Studios. Beautiful five minute walk, if you wish to walk. If not, there is a shuttle that picks up every 15 minutes right outside the hotel front doors and drops you off at City Walk. Hotel is beautiful. Large, comfortable rooms. Comfortable beds and pillows. Gorgeous views. Elevators are fast. Hotel staff are very courteous and helpful. Only down side is the very expensive breakfast, but plenty of options at Universal City Walk.

Really lovely hotel close to Universal Studios

Pros: Very helpful staff especially at reception and the concierge was superb
Cons: The speed of the elevators but the hotel is presently working on that
Location: Lots to do nearby - that's why we chose it
It would be hard to beat the quality of this hotel - it was simply excellent

Affordable luxury

It was a very pleasant stay that we had. We stayed there for 2 nights, it was very comfortable. My son loves the room as much as he loves universal studios. We are definitely booking again for our next trip.
