When I asked the front desk if they offered military discount, she responded " if you wanted that, you shouldve applied that when you made the original reservation." (Understandable, however her tone and no eye contact made it seem like I was bothering her by asking) When we arrived at the room, our key wouldnt open the door. We went back to the same female and told her that we couldnt get in. Again with the rude and cold tone, "did you pull the handle up?" I replied, no I push down. Well, pull it up.... Other than that one staff member, everyone was friendly and the room was clean

Not my typical experience for a Holiday Inn I am used to. Pick up shuttle- i called to ask for eta and got a vague dont know, ever 30-40mins. Staff- could be better. I learned the Holiday Inn express are the ones that offer free breakfast. Maybe it is a LA things. In another state, same chain offers. but i will take it. Safetiness- I questioned as you need key card for lobby bathroom, need key card for elevator. The MCD nearby, it is the same. Maybe it is location. The windows are not double pane. I heard everything that is going outside at night.

Great customer service as usual! However, the cleaning person was so loud! Starting at 9 am kept on asking if we were leaving! I had to keep on telling her we had a check out at 1 pm. The whole time I couldn’t rest. I never had such experience at a holiday inn. Her yelling, speaking loudly with other staff was uncomfortable!

The basic job of a hotel is to provide a good night sleep. Right? We traveled near the airport a day early to get that sleep. What we got was a 2nd floor room with a mesh window curtain and nothing else. We were doing shadow puppets against the back wall of the room. Two street lights, a building sign and the golden arches beaming through to room all night. BAD!
