"Clean,Affordable, good location "
Stayed two nights, it rained both nights I was there but didn't spend much time in the hotel anyway. walking distance to the warf and marina district. I got a room with a king size bed, not the prettiest hotel from the outside but the rooms exceeded my expectation of a hotel that price. very clean

"Clean hotel close to local attractions"
Truly no complaints (other than the area is loud - but, that's San Francisco). It was a nice location, very clean, and nice/helpful staff. Their Wifi is a little wonky, but usable. Very satisfied with this hotel and would definitely recommend it.

"Great find!"
I found this place on my last trip to San Francisco because the hotels where I would generally stay were all booked or well over $700/night due to a huge conference in town. What a find! The Monte Cristo Inn was quiet, quaint and beautiful. I was there on business, and although they are not generally catering to this crowd, it worked out fine. Breakfast started a bit late (7:30), and the check-in desk is open limited hours, but apart from that it had everything a business traveler would need. My room was nice size with beautiful antique furniture, but modern conveniences like a nice size smart TV, decent (free) wi-fi, and a newly renovated modern bathroom with great details like a heated towel rack. No AC though, but there are few days this is necessary in SF. The location is in a quiet residential-type area, but there are plenty of restaurants and stores within a short walk. The Inn provided a some small evening snacks and a very good breakfast.

"Beautiful Hotel in a perfect spot"
I stayed at the Drisco based on their Trip Advisor rating. The hotel is quaint and on the crest of Pacific Heights. The staff was wonderful as was the breakfast and Wine Tasting in the evenings. I will definitely be back!

Pacific Heights Hotel & Travel Guide

Sitting pretty between fast-paced Chinatown to the east and the sprawling slopes of the Presidio Golf Course to the west, the neighborhood of Pacific Heights is San Francisco’s quiet oasis amid the hustle and bustle of its startup culture.

Walk past hillside mansions, run your hands over fine fabrics in charming boutiques, and look out over the city from a peaceful park bench. Pacific Heights hotels offer a regal home base just minutes away from many of the city’s most iconic waterfront neighborhoods, including Fisherman’s Wharf and the Embarcadero. Rent a car in Pacific Heights and roll through the hills like Bay Area local.

    Visiting Pacific Heights

To take in Old California and bright up-and-comers side by side, cruise down Fillmore Street, where Victorian manors have been reborn as unique apartment buildings over the neighborhood’s most popular shops and small-town cobblers and salons. You’ll have no trouble filling the trunk of your rental car with exquisite finds from all over the world, all carefully curated in one small neighborhood.

Seek out gourmet coffee in the charming cafe scene of Lower Pacific Heights before setting off on a hearty climb up Nob Hill and into Chinatown, where you’ll feel like you have indeed entered another country. Watch extravagant Queen Anne homes turn to brightly colored paper lanterns strung between stately brick walkups. Weave your way through the busy avenues in search of delicious dim sum and wrap up some traditional Chinese pastries to take back to one of the top hotels in Pacific Heights to nosh with your morning tea.

Indulge in the height of Bay Area glamour or simplify the finer side of life and book a Pacific Heights motel. Travelocity’s hotels in San Francisco span the city and come with a price-matching guarantee, so you can rest as easy as the mist rolling in off the Pacific Ocean.
