"Great hotel within walking distance to pier"
Even though the walls were a bit thin, the hotel was great with the newly renovated rooms and the location close to the pier. The concierge was very helpful with a car rental and places of interest. The entire staff was great! I would stay there again!

"Everyone in our family liked it!"
If you want to stay near Fisherman's Wharf, this is a nice place. The outdoor area is great and the kids loved the free billiards, tube ping pong and giant Jenga. The parking is expensive, but probably comparable to other properties. The rooms were very clean and fresh looking, but none of us thought the beds were very comfortable, particularly the pillows.

"Glad we chose Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf!"
This hotel is within walking distance of most things you need: good food, transportation and the Bay! Just around the corner and up a street is a Starbucks, right next to one of the Cable-Car stops. Be sure to purchase at least a three-day bay-area transportation pass. Don't bring a car! Driving in San Francisco is filled with stopped traffic. In addition to that, most hotels charge a $50 per night fee for parking. So you can save $90 - $150 a day if you don't have a car. Also just down the street (the other way) is breakfast! Plenty of good choices. Along the way stop by Bay City Bicycles and get your bike for the day to ride over the Golden-Gate to Sausalito. Have lunch at Napa Valley Burger Company! Possibly the Best Burgers in the US. Ride back on the ferry. Then cruse through the Fishermans Wharf region on your way back to fall asleep for the next day. And that's not even scratching the surface of things to do.

"Great Location"
This hotel is in a perfect location. We didn't need to rent a car because everything is within walking distance. We were on the top floor so we didn't hear any street noise which was nice. We were very happy with our decision to stay at this hotel...everything worked out perfect.

"Great hotel just a few blocks from the Wharf! "
Aiyaz Ali, the concierge was so helpful! He set us up with a rental car for our day trip to Napa, Sausalito and Muir Woods. He was so helpful directing us to the sights that were important to us! The hotel has charm and was just what we were looking for our grown up vacation. Marlo, our favorite server at the hotel restaurant was so awesome. Pescatore is a lovely place to dine for any meal. Our Anniversary dinner there was truly unforgettable. They made a special occasion even more special. We would totally go back!

We traveled to San Francisco with our family. We did not rent a car and we were glad that we didn't. We spent 4 wonderful days enjoying great food and interesting sights. Bring along comfortable shoes and a jacket, you will need them. Be sure to book your Alcatraz tours in advance, they sell out weeks ahead. We enjoyed touring the ships at Hyde Pier, just across the street from our hotel.

"Older hotel in very central location"
The Wharf Inn is quite an old hotel but is virtually at Fishermans Wharf so great locale for Alcatraz tours, Fisherman's Wharf , Pier 39 etc. there are plenty of options nearby for eating and souvenir shopping. Ghirardellis is only a short walk as well as the cable cars and the Maritime museum. The trams to take you to Union Sq etc are only a short walk as well, so, very close to lots of attractions and a lot less expensive than other hotels nearby. The Sheraton is just across the road one block up. The rooms are old and a bit tired but clean and functional with good amenities and a good shower. We had requested a room away from the street and had room #308 which is at the back and very quiet. The staff at reception were all very friendly and polite. The downside ( which I had read about ) is the homeless who hang out at the 711 across the road and yell and yahoo at night... a bit daunting! However all things considered a good place to stay given the location and the price. Tea coffee and hot chocolate is available from reception and if you want a hair dryer or iron you need to get it from them but this was not a problem at all.

"Hotel stay"
The room was ok and presentable . The bathroom was way too small for the price we paid. We made due there. The staff were excellent and very helpful. It was disappointing tho that they wanted to charge extra every day for the WiFi.....in most hotels it is included. The food in the lobby was way overpriced. A banana cost $2.40 . We went to the safeway around the corner and bought one for 89 cents. I quess you have to expect this in a big City but come on. People have to pay for so much there.... Also Travelocity recommended Frontier Airlines for our flight which we will not take again. The airplane was loud and noisy. They charge you for every little thing you get with them. My bill totaled almost $500 dollars by the time we got home...just to travel. So next time we will take Southwest and do our own deal.
