8.5/10. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Although, much of its facilities and outlook resemble the 1990s, this is not a negative, since everthing was well maintained. Furthermore, this also meant that rather than plastic and cheap kitsch, you will find lots of natural materials being used. For example, rooms contain lots of wood, even the elevators did, and bath tubs and shower were all in stone, in perfect working order and very clean. Kingsize bed was comfortable, hotel shuttle service was ran at regular intervals and easy to locate at the airport. Food in the restaurant was better than expected, and in fact cheaper than in the nearby Kincaid's Bayhouse restaurant. Room cleaning staff was effective, discrete, and very polite. The hotel is near a trail along the water of the San Francisco Bay, which allows for welcome relaxing strolls. The room deal on offer was better than in other nearby top hotels, such as the Hyatt. And yet, although I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, I am unable to award a score of 9/10 or higher. Why is that ? Three reasons. Firstly, I found the $250 hold they place on your credit card on top of the fee for your entire hotel stay excessive. The price I paid did not match the advertised fee on Travelocity, with an additional hefty San Francisco destination fee on top of it, not once, but daily. Given that most of these airport hotels are remote from city centers, the choice of food on offer at the snack shop next to the reception desk is totall

Took front desk 5 minutes to find our reservation after initially saying we didn’t have one. Was awoken twice during the night by an announcement saying that a fire alarm was a mistake. We never heard any alarm but heard the two announcements.

I am writing to report an issue with our current stay at the Hilton San Francisco, booked under my name. Unfortunately, the room provided to us Aug 29-31st] was unsanitary and unacceptable: The beddings was itchy for the two beds, and the pillows had a strong unpleasant odor. My wife developed skin rashes after lying on the bed. When we reported the issue to the front desk on our first night, we were only offered a transfer to a room with one bed. Since there are three of us staying (including my mother), this was not a reasonable solution. The hotel sent new bed covers but did not provide new pillows, and the staff member sent did not replace the bedding for us. We had to change it ourselves, which added to the inconvenience. Because of this, we were unable to sleep at our usual time. The delay, lack of proper resolution, and stress left us exhausted before our scheduled convention activities at the hotel, further compounding the discomfort and negative impact of our stay. Given the inconvenience, we were not able to make it on time for the Convention.AWESNA GROUP booked more than 200 guests and some of my colleagues have same experiences we had the first night.
