Hotel was in a great location

Pros: Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
The hotel was in a great loctaion close to the beach. The staff was very helpful. The only think I wasn't happy with, is the cost of parking when we got there, it was 22.00 per night.

REAL HAWAIIAN GETAWAY HOTEL

if you want REAL HAWAII hotel with lush grounds all around you (and not the typical concrete parking lot) average pool with a Tiki Bar (hawaiian music all day long) and fabulous beach without the crowds.... this is the place. Friendly staff, great mai tais, excellent restaurant. One of the best Luau's on the island nestled in the back of the property. the cottages and hotel have been renovated to 4 star ratings. beds are comfy, plenty of towels, always hot water, lots of counter space. the cottages are ground floor where u can choose from golf fairway view or ocean front. the path along the beach takes you into Whaler Village so you don't have to drive or take the shuttle. this place is HEAVEN on earth.

The hotel has marvelous customer service and very friendly staff. Location near the beach is great (about 1/2 block).

Had a great time

Other than the outdated carpet and furniture, the hotel was great for the price. Elevators were very slow.

Thank you for taking the time to review the hotel. As for your comment on our facilities, we do agree that it is time for a face lift and as such, are making plans for. We hope to welcome you back in hopes we may alter your perception of our facilities. Until then,

Not a 5 Star hotel. Great for the price though.

We were greeted with friendly staff. The Bell Hop was very helpful. Rooms are a little dated. But for the price and location to Strip and Beach, it was well worth it. Parking at $12 a day, seems expensive, but compared with hotels in area, this was the cheapest.

disappointed

As expected on my 1st trip to Hawaii we were greeted in the lobby by friendly faces when we checked in. But what I hadn't expected was dirty carpet trimmed in duct tape on the floor of the elevator. The hallway was musty. The room could use a total makeover or at the very least a really good cleaning & a fresh coat of paint. The view from our balcony was of the backs of other hotel balconies. Fortunately we only stayed 1 night.

Great Value & Wonderful Staff

Although an airline tried to ruin our trip, our mood did a complete turnaround as soon as we arrived at the hotel and were greeted by the family friendly staff;especially the bell captain. Our ocean view kitchenette was roomy, clean and well maintained with a relaxing lanai. If you're looking for a hotel with a helpful friendly staff and great accommodations only a block from Kuhio Beach & great shopping, the Waikiki Resort Hotel is the place for you. There are higher-end hotels around, but none are a better value!

Great Value & Wonderful Staff

If you're looking for great value and location that is only exceeded by the family friendly staff then the Waikiki Resort Hotel is for you. Even though our trip started out miserably due to our airline's lies and delays, the mood of the trip immediately turned around when we arrived at the hotel due to the cheery and accommodating staff, especially X, the hotel's Bell Captain. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Waikiki and doubt if you will find a better value just one block from Kuhio Beach. Book your reservation now!
