Horrible Stay at Ambassador Hotel
I tried to give the Ambassador Hotel another chance. However, the hotel, staff and overall experience did not deliver. This is a very tired hotel that has many issues with it. I was there for three nights/four days. Every morning when I shaved & showered I did NOT have hot water. Warm at best. Controlling temperature in the room was awful. It was either too hot or too cold. The staff could have cared less about the issues. I asked twice to have the issues in the room fixed. But they would rather stand. Whine the front desk and talk amongst themselves. The snack counter/cabinet that was just off the lobby is gone. So there is no food/snacks available to the hotel guests until happy hour, which is egregious. The entire hotel experience at the Ambassador Hotel was awful.

Great Hotel in Gold Coast
Nice and comfortable hotel in the Gold Coast. Close to downtown area. Rooms were comfortable. The couch sleeper is a bad mattress, so would not have an adult sleep on it, but our 12 year old was fine. The valet was awesome - he kept my larger truck outside overnight instead of risking damage in a parking garage. Know that it is $62 for overnight vehicle storage, but this is pretty common for downtown. I searched around and this was the best option for in and out and for a taller truck. Only real downside is that the breakfast is not good. The food is poor quality.

Second chance fails!!
Awful stay so far. Already had to change rooms once. Now the second room does NOT have hot water in the vanity & shower. This is absolutely pathetic. This information is going straight to ownership. I tried to give this hotel, a second chance, and so far it’s been miserable.

We stayed here because we had a wedding in the near -area. We took a Lyft from the hotel. Used the work out room. Everything was comfortable and quiet. We did not eat or drink there but the bar/restaurant area looked nice ( former pump room and all the photos on the wall in the lower level were fun to look at).
