Nice comfortable quiet room. Very modern.

The rooms are very modern I do believe this hotel was recently built in 2016. So very very modern. Rooms not huge, small, but still enough space and very comfortable.

Close to McCormick and in the heart of Chinatown

Pros: The room was really well appointed comfortable bed, loved the shower.
Cons: Breakfast could use a warm cereal, oatmeal, grits even boiled eggs.
Location: You are in the heart of Chinatown but there are many food options
The Jaslin hotel was a last minute find for me. It is a new hotel having only been operating a little over a yr. The room was very comfortable. The best mattress I've slept on in a hotel that I can remember even at higher priced hotels. I was disappointed that there was no microwave in the room. Guests have to warm food in the microwave in the lobby. There should be at least one per floor if not optimally in the guests room. There was no dressing mirror in the bedroom, it is in the living room where there should be a small dining table. In my particular room the light switches by the bed and the entering the bathroom from the bedroom were not placed optimally. The shower lacked grab bars but had an awesome shower head spray. Annie, who sets up continental breakfast was cheerful and kept the coffee hot & served with a smile as plentiful as the limited breakfast items. Check-in was awkward. We were informed(10:30a)that our room was ready, but that there would be a $50.00 early check-in surcharge if we wanted to access it before (3:00p). Even though we paid for that FULL day & the room was ready? We didn't ask them to ready the room. They also lack a business center and only offer you (1) one PC no printer...you must email what you want printed to the hotel and they will print it for you.Talk about awkward & inconvenient & no fax either. No lobby bathroom access unless you have a hotel guest pass key. Most all the cleaning staff is Chinese & few understand English. Oh well.

Ok hotel right in the center of Chinatown

This might be weird but the reason I booked this hotel is because it had continental breakfast, something I always look for. However when I went down at 7:30 am (30 min since it started) they only had cereal, instant oatmeal, tea, coffee and orange juice. They also had some huge tray of bread but that had already ran out???? I enjoyed the room but the bed was so stiff, I couldn't sleep most of the night. We also got free 2 hour late checkout, but when we reminded the front desk they had no idea what we were talking about until they finally found it on our reservation and even than were telling us checkout is at 1:50 pm when it should be at 2. Other than front desk (who dont really smile or show expression) there's really no staff around the hotel, not once did I see room service. But the room was still affordable and it was a great location, still would recommend.

Nice if you really like China Town.

Pros: Newer and well designed. It was very quiet also.
Cons: Bath tissue! Bathroom vanity or other space to place things for getting ready.
Location: It is in China Town and very close to many chinese restaurants and shopping and close to the public train.
We were unaware that the hotel was located in China Town. We knew it was close but thought it was just on the outskirts and close to other shopping and restaurants. The hotel is obviously newer and it is well designed and appointed. A couple of things worth noting is that the breakfast bar selections are quite limited. There was no coffee or ice water for those that did not want tea, orange juice, or milk. The room was well appointed with exception of the bathroom with very limited space to place items needed to get ready. Also, an upgrade in quality of bath tissue would be welcomed. There is no on-site parking but there is an outside parking lot within a 5 to 10 minute walk with a reasonable daily rate. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and we would consider staying here again in the future.

No parking and breakfast was late

Pros: It was clean
Cons: Parking and breakfast
There is no parking at this hotel. Public parking is 2 blocks away. Hotel staff told us wrong time for breakfast, had to wait 15 minutes.
