Great hotel location

Second time at this hotel. Both times had great experience. Staff is very attentive and so friendly. Love it that we didn’t have to wear coats to go to the corner coffee shop for breakfasts. Instead we entered directly from the hotel. And Patsy’s famous restaurant is just around the corner! Could not have had a better experience in NY for the price. No complaints at all. We will definitely stay at the Wellington Hotel again.

The room was literally a box! No space to do anything! The bedding had dirt marks on its sheets and comforter. The bathroom, you could sit on the toilet, wash your hands and lean on the tub at the same exact time! The pictures online are very deceitful. Not the same in person. I immediately called the company to check out of the hotel and was told I would receive a full refund, however once I got back downstairs to the front desk, it was another story! I advised the employee that I just checked in with less than 15 mins ago, that we were checking out(in which she was already aware of) the employee had a attitude I guess because we were leaving so soon. I asked about us not being charged for the valet since we were not staying at the hotel anymore and would have never valeted there unless we staying.(you have to valet your car for $35 for just 24 hours, however you can’t put things or receive things from the car within the 24 hours or they would charge you another $35! We were staying at the hotel for 2 nights so that is a total of $70 for valet without any access! ) She was very short and said valet is a separate charge and I have to pay. We also asked this employee if the car could stay there since we had to pay for the service she ignored us and called valet to bring the car. There was about a 5 min back and forth before a manager came over and suggested we leave the car however the car was outside already. The manager finally comped the valet after 10 mins of nothing!

NYC last minute

Great location but over price for experience, very tiny bathroom and showers were an issues. Water was like the Exorcist! Very cold one minute then very Hot the next and toilet was hugging the sink! If you want history Hotel has it and walking distance from Central Park and shops!

Central location in NYC

Pros: Central location and price.
Cons: Taps in the tub were a little awkward to figure out.
Location: Close to Columbus Circle, Lincoln Center, Rockefeller Plaza, Theater district, and more..
Decor is dated, but room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Room is also small, but the price was right, after all, you won't be spending much time in your room with all there is to do in the city! Room had a safe, hairdryer, and iron and ironing board.

Great location, and affordable.

Grand old style hotel (115 yrs), but updated. Nice comfy room, but no refrigerator, coffee maker, or bottled water provided. Park Cafe off the lobby may be the reason for that. Enjoyed my 2 nights there, may stay here again at $115 a nt.

I frequently stay here, but disappointed this time

Pros: Location. Usually can get early check-in.
Cons: See above.
A week before my stay, I had tried to cancel one of my two booked nights, but was refused (I was made aware by Travelocity that this would be the case.) Desk personnel pleasant and helpful as always; person on phone who refused to cancel one of my nights was very unpleasant. Large coffee stains on white bed spread. Very slow drain in the tub, with standing water when showers were taken (room 1831). I have stayed at The Wellington numerous times, and have never before been disappointed.
