They 1st put us in a room that somebody was already in. Then they had no more king beds. No coffee after 9 am.

Needs to be cleaner, a group of guys had a party right outside our door most of the night, we got charged double for what we were supposed to be charged, receptionist was to busy outside smoking when i wanted to check out.

After having to go to get my own towels in the office (no biggie), I was prepared to get a good night's sleep for my meeting the next morning. When I turned down the bed to go to sleep, the sheets had obviously not been changed, just the bed made up with old sheets--make-up stains on comforter--gross. I got my own blanket and pillow out of my car to use. Next morning when I went to shower, I found hair in the bathtub and bathroom floor--not pubic hair thankfully and know it wasn't mine because I'm bald. Then when I went to make some coffee, there were no coffee cups, a used coffee pod in the coffee maker, and no new coffee to use. I understand this a budget hotel, but $130 for a disgusting room is appalling. Never again.

The property needs a fresh coat of paint, a thorough cleaning (cobwebs on the ceiling made us weary spider bites), tub and counter-top reglazing or just plain replacing. One positive: The staff was friendly, but that's not enough to want to stay again or recommend it.

Average hotel, average price

Cons: Breakfast
Wasn't the worst hotel I've stayed in, definitely not 5 star. Some of the staff was really welcoming and some weren't. It surprised me in cleanliness. Nice, newish shower head but the tub didn't drain. Pretty quiet area. Breakfast was not impressive. The juice machine was broken and the eggs were pretty gross. There was also hair on some of the towels.

Hotel stay

Very outdated rooms and facility. Staff was friendly but unprofessional: checking in with the manager and one of the other staff members was on her phone talking about her personal life while sitting at the front desk! Checking out: staff member who was at the desk had head phones on with very loud music playing while she was checking us out of hotel.

Decent value for the price.

Pros: Friendly and solicitous staff.
Cons: Wi-fi in room was slow and sporadic, in room phone did not work, and list of TV channels did not match what was available.
Location: Convenient to Vanderbilt, interstates, Elder's book store (beware, closes at 3 pm and on Sunday) and an excellent Turkish restaurant, Anatolia.
I was apprehensive due to many poor reviews on line, but I wanted to attend a college reunion and almost everything in the area was 2,3 or more times the price. Perhaps because my expectations were low, I was pleasantly surprised. Room was clean and neat, hardwood floors allayed any fears about what might be lurking in the carpet, bed was quite comfortable, if a bit soft, and was covered with a duvet such as I have had in Swiss ski hotels. Small fridge and microwave were adequate. Bath and vanity were clean, altho tub finish was worn. Breakfast area was quite small, and fare very basic, but traditional oatmeal was very good, and it was close enough to take back to room conveniently.
