Stay was overall ok. The blackout shade was completely jammed and was stuck in the upright position. I had to manually pull it down. By the time I woke up the next morning the entire blackout shade was on the ground. the top of the shade had been duct taped... I walked down to the front desk to request someone to come fix it, which they confirmed. Got back to my room that evening to find no one had come to fix it. Walked back down to the front desk and was told "oh, maintenance is gone for the day." They dropped off some clips and a blanket for me to pin the blanket up....

Great location near Acension St Thomas midtown, off West End. Also close to Vanderbilt university and shopping. Beautiful lobby area including a patio, plenty of sitting areas to hang out. The hotel and room was clean.

I was pleasantly surprised by The Hayes. This midtown hotel was in a quiet, safe area. We were in town for a concert and it was a short, easy drive to the arena. After the show (on a Monday night) the kitchens at the places on Broadway were closing up but right around the corner from the hotel we loaded up at ‘The Cookout’ which is open until 3am during the week. The next morning it was a short walk to the Midtown cafe for breakfast (highly recommend). We were able to park for free on the street in front of the apartments across the street from the Hotel. There are also a couple paid parking lots - one next door and one across the street. Or you can do Valet parking at the hotel. The hotel itself was quiet, had friendly and helpful staff, and it was very clean. The room was modern yet welcoming, and the bed was comfortable.
