We booked through hotels.com and there was no notice about the ongoing construction at the hotel and the fact that the pool and hot tub were closed. Beyond that, the picture of the "ocean view" that's advertised on the web site doesn't actually show that there is a walkway outside the room so it's more of a motel-like feel. There were numerous unruly, drunk and obnoxious guests and we had to call the front desk multiple times to ask for security to do something about it. I personally went out after midnight when I heard loud music blaring right outside my hotel room door and told the people to leave. It was ridiculous. Absolute trash.

Inaccurate photos
Although we received a notice that there would be construction at the hotel, the extent of the construction was not disclosed properly. In the message it stated that the pool, spa and fitness room would be closed, but when we arrived the entire lobby was closed and a make shift lobby was put in place. More than half the hotel was under construction and the outdoor patio space on the sand was completely closed off. Non of the pictures were accurate to what this hotel actually looks like. The rooms are not carpeted as it shows in the photos and after examining the photos once we arrived it was clear that they are all the mock up design photos and not what it really is as of now. We were incredibly disappointed, especially with how much it costs to stay and the fact that they charge a “resort fee” for a place that you can’t actually use any of the amenities at.

Under construction! Every where smelled like paint. No privacy with workers cleaning our bedroom window. Elevator didn’t work. Had to take our luggage through workers service elevator. They charge us for parking and one other fee of a total of $100 added on to our stay. What a stay!

The property was completely under construction during our visit. There was scaffolding and building materials everywhere. The view was obstructed and the property was in shambles. It was disappointing because we were staying there for a birthday event and it was not at all special or festive. There should have been some notice on the website when we made reservations. It would have changed our decision about where to stay. When we brought this up, we were offered free parking.

Two days before arrival I received a call that they didn’t have any room with 2 beds despite me having a reservation for this booked way in advance. Construction was everywhere so getting to the room was more than inconvenient with a child and an expectant mom in our party. No assistance offered. We had to leave our travel cases on one floor and walk down stairs and around to get to our room with each drop off of belongings. They brought a rollaway in which is no match to a bed. Same expensive price with all the add d nonsense. We go every year but No thanks. Staying elsewhere Quite unsatisfactory

Room was stylish, new, and very clean. Restaurant was excellent and had a terrific view of the ocean. Staff were very friendly and gave us fee drink tickets. The thing to know is that the hotel is under construction as they renovate one of the wings. The construction was not an issue for us.

They are remodeling this hotel so conditions are not good. The staff is still great. Restaurant menu has limited selections. They did not have a specific bar menu like they had before. They didn’t charge resort fee which is good but still charged for parking. They should not charge anything extra until they finish the construction.
