Pros: Close to Cannery Row. Beach access.
Cons: Microwave in room
Location: Location was the best. Right on the beach. Cannery row, shopping, grocery all close by
Was there March 16th and 17th. The sunsets were so amazing. Listening to the waves crash all night was the best thing. My boyfriend and I would stay there again. The staff at the bar were awesome! Would highly recommend but upgrade to premium and get ocean view room!

Nice beach front hotel with great views.

Pros: Location
Cons: hotel cleanliness, comfort of beds (very firm and uncomfortable) and timeliness of room cleanings.
Location: Whale Watching, Monterey, Carmel, all very nearby.
The check in took forever. A girl talking on a personal call while the rest of us stood patiently. Room wasn't as clean or big as I hoped. Unless you put the dead bolt on your door, anyone could push it open at any time whether you were in or out of the room. Stayed 3 nights, and never got cleaning service. Day 2 we were gone literally all day and evening and the knock came at 7pm when kids were already in bed. Restaurant way overpriced and fancy for the type of hotel it turned out to be. Beautiful lobby with lots of chair, bar, and fire overlooking the ocean. Convenient less than 5 minute drive to cannery row and aquarium. Great affordable bonfire and smores package available for night time beach campfire.

Loved the location, the bonnfires on the beach

Pros: Location, Ocean View rooms
Cons: The bedroom door didn't close you had to lock it intentionally or anyone could come in. Cleaning service not adequate slow front desk, improve CS.
Location: Right next to Seaside State Park and 5 minute drive to Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row.
Stayed 3 nights and never 1 time had room cleaned. The Front Desk staff was extremely slow. Talking on the phone and the line going out the door. Check out time was insanity 3 doing other things with a line 10 people deep. Lobby beautiful indoor seating overlooking the ocean, can see Dolphins, See Otters, and Whales. Very local to Cannery Row. Decent restaurants (chain, fast food, etc.) very close. Some can walk some might drive. Hotel food extremely expensive and fancy for children/young adults.

Save your money

My wife and I went there for our anniversary and to say the least we will not stay there again. As soon as we checked in they hit us with a 60$ a night extra deposit just in case you charge something to your room. The first night we had a room full of kids next to us with the parents in a different room and had to listen to them ALL night. Then the next night I had to break up a drunk fight from a wedding party outside my room. We went to happy hour and the bartenders were drinking behind the bar and screwed out drinks up twice and at ten bucks a drink that gets old lol. There room service adds a 20% tip to all orders. They don't even offer free breakfast for this price it does not live up to the expectations. Won't go there again.

Beautiful views!

Very easy to find and quick freeway access from both directions of Hwy 1. The hotel staff was very nice and they had 3 people working the registration desk to get their guests checked in quickly, and they were just as friendly and helpful when we were leaving. The views are beautiful, even if you have to walk around the corner from a garden room to see it. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. They must have recently painted because I had 2 rooms and the doors were sticking and difficult to open for both of them, but that was the only drawback. I will definitely stay there again if in the area.

The rooms are cramped, not very clean, and the beds were very uncomfortable. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear the highway and it sounds as if you left your door wide open. It is right on the beach though, so that's great if you aren't spending much time in your room.

Right on the beach

Pros: Right on the beach and bike trail to attractions.
Cons: Room decor is dated, drab.
Location: Aquarium, bike trail, Cannery row, fisherman's wharf.
Overpriced for what you get. Paying an extra $ "resort fee" is a joke. Most hotels include that in the room rate. I guess the price is high because of the location but it wasn't much of a room for the price.

Not as described

When booking, the image of the garden view room looks okay but what they fail to tell you is that its actually a freeway view room. What makes it look like a garden view in the picture is a few trees they have in the parking lot. Also when trying to take a shower in the morning, the tub flooded with water up to my ankles and when I called to the front desk, the maintenance staff showed up quickly to try to fix it but said they would need to use a chemical cleaner that would take the drain 45 minutes to start working again and when I said that was unacceptable they offered my family and I another room to shower in but the hotel did not see that as much of an inconvenience so they only offered to not charge me the 25 dollar resort fee as if they were doing me a huge favor. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
