Mequon Hotel & Travel Guide\n
There is a place along Lake Michigan where the scenery is so majestic that even the pessimist stops to take notice. That place is Mequon, Wisconsin, a city just north of Milwaukee. From lakeshore bluffs to vast farmlands, this town makes you feel as if you've walked into a painting. Joseph B. Wirthlin once said, "Sometimes we should express our gratitude for the small and simple things like the scent of the rain, the taste of your favorite food, or the sound of a loved one's voice." Here, a simpler place and time awaits, and you'll be grateful you found it—or that it found you. No matter the case, Mequon hotels put you close to rural hospitality and unspoiled nature. And you won't want to ever leave.
Exploring Mequon
Whether you choose to stay at one of those lavish Milwaukee hotels or a quaint, historic Mequon home, you'll surely find something that gives you the rest you need. After you have a cup of coffee and your legs are feeling loose, it's time to explore. If you don't happen to be a marathon runner or champion cyclist, know that Mequon rental cars are readily available. Start your journey by touring the historic farm estates in town and getting a taste of just what life was like in the 1800s. Let the past inspire you with visit to the Isham Day House, a humble lodging that dates back to 1839, and the John Reichert Farmhouse, a stunning property that dates back to 1885. With your thirst for antiquity satisfied, wander back to life in present-day Mequon. The Mequon Community Park is a great spot to meet locals, have a picnic, go swimming, and let your inner child roam free; it also offers access to the famed Ozaukee Interurban Trail, a roughly 40-mile long exercise pathway where the wind always seems to be at your back.
During your travels, remember to wander wisely, friend. That means following your gut and taking the path less traveled from time to time. It also means getting the best deals on flights, rental cars, and hotels in Mequon WI. Thanks to Travelocity's Price Match Guarantee, you always get the lowest prices on hotels near Mequon here.

"Stayed in room 213 and it was a very nice room. The building is well maintained, and the staff are very friendly, no energy of attitude at all. The Gin Rickey has very good food. Sunday - Thursday you can buy a Gin rickey and get the second drink for 1920's prices, in the main floor there is a listing of the cost of drinks from the early 1900's which is interesting. Old school elevators, definitely deco of the 1920's. The room was very nice, very clean and no ripped dry paper or the impression that the rooms are not well maintained. The rooms do not have cable; they do have Apple tv which you have to log into your streaming account not a big deal you just have to remember to log out. Be careful when going into the shower, it's slippery and I almost fell on my face. The room I was in, did not have a microwave. I'm not going to lie, before you walk into this place, the soundings area is very ghetto looking but once you step into this place, it's a very differently feel. Parking is $30 a night in the hotel but you can park on the side streets for a maximum of 3 night, you can call it in or visit https://city.milwaukee.gov/Parking/ParkingPermits/Online-Night-Parking-Permission-Request They have a shuttle bus that will take you into downtown, but a club called the Rave is across the street. I will visit this place again but probably upgrade to a higher floor or a higher amenity room."
