A good option for the times you would like to wake up near the urban core of Martellago, is the Santa Teresa.
11 miles (18 kilometers) from central Martellago, you will come across the Ca' Lucatello TownHouse. Alternatively, the The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Venice can be found about 11 miles (18 kilometers) away. Or, you could take a room at the Bauer Il Palazzo or the Baglioni Hotel Luna.
After you have learned about Martellago, why not tour a bit further afield? The Veneto area boasts myriad places to discover. Veneto is famous for beaches, coastal plains and rivers. Quarto d'Altino is 12 miles (20 kilometers) east of Martellago and is home to Altino Archaeology Museum and Trepalade Natural Oasis. "This hotel is located in the small town of D’Altino, which can be convenient to stay at for cost purposes. Making the trip to Venice is a 25 minutes journey by train (there are 2 trains per hour) and then you can take the 1 hour boat ride to the main center of Venice. If you miss your stop to D’Altino like we did on the last train around 12 am as 2 young ladies ( because the stops are not always mentioned or show up on the screen) don’t count on help or sympathy from the nighttime hotel receptionist who will tell you that the phone is ringing a lot and he’s the only one there so he can’t help you. Ubers are rarely used in this small town and so they’re hard to get. On the night we missed our stop, the uber cost about $90 dollars. Unless you’re well versed with using European train systems, please stay in a more populated and closer town to Venice like Mestre or better yet spend more money to stay in Venice for peace of mind. The hotel itself is clean and not bad. They have a breakfast selection for an additional add on. It’s a good deal."
