Loved the Oasis

This hotel is wonderful especially for a younger crowd who wants to have a good time in Vegas! They have fun adult sized games you can play at anytime and the restaraunt fiddlestix was amazing! They're food seems very gourmet and was absolutely delicious for a great price! The staff and everyone were so wonderful we loved it! Very high security and I like that especially being in the middle of Vegas! You only have to walk a block to get to freemont and our room wasn't loud at all even having live band and dj all night! Will be staying here anytime we go!

Decent hotel especially if you like less busy

Rose and Monica were great. I was on the 5th floor in the Spike so it was quiet, but don't stay on the first 3 floors if you want to sleep. Charlie the bartender was extremely helpful to someone new in town. Overall, decent but sparse.

Nice place

This is a very nice little boutique hotel. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Loved the eclectic decor. The staff was great, friendly very helpful. I will definitely stay here again when I have to overnight in Vegas. It is only a block from Fremont Street and a couple of blocks from the Container Park (shops & cafes)

1 block away from Freemont Street

Pros: The best part about this place is the location -- 1 block away from Freemont street. The "backyard" has a large chess board to play on the ground.
Cons: Put a phone in the room -- or at least provide details for how to contact the front desk at check-in.
Location: Across Las Vegas Blvd is the Ogden, which has a great Japanese noodle place -- Itsy Bitsy.
The hotel advertises that there are no alarm clocks in the room -- which is true. But, there wasn't a phone either! Luckily, I didn't have any problems needing a call to the front desk. Make sure to have a cell phone with you if you are planning to stay here. The hotel has lots of character -- a "living room" in the Gold Point building with a bed to sprawl out on. The "back yard" has different play areas including an Airstream trailer. Talk about nostalgia! The property has two buildings -- a motel style (i.e., outdoor walkway entry to the room) and the Tower building with an interior hallway. I stayed in the Tower room, which was recently redone in a contemporary style, though some things were just odd. The switch to turn on the desk lamp was on the cord and behind the desk making it very difficult to reach. The TV channel guide in the room did not match the channel order on the TV. The missing vertical vane on the blinds made for a very bright room early in the morning. The limited electrical outlets in the room are all used by the items in the room -- a power strip is hidden underneath the chest. Only 2 coffee vouchers are provided at check-in and can be redeemed at the Fiddlestix cafe in the Gold Point building. Parking at the Neapolitan parking garage located across the street is included in the stay. There is a small pay-by-the-hour parking lot on the property with a few spaces reserved for hotel registration.

Music all night is no joke

I had a great time, but the loud music until 4:00 am is no joke. It's the digital age, I popped in my ear buds and slept through it. Place was clean, definitely has a hipster vibe. Why do you think I was there?

nice pool for kids

Pros: pool is great for kids
Cons: quieter a/c unit table and chair in room.
Location: in old las vegas walking distance to nite time experience.
pool best part of this hotel. almost all of the rooms over look the pool in this 3 story hotel so you can keep an eye on the kids from your room. room a lil sparse and small could have used a small table with chair and a luggage stand. furnishings very modern but small room. lunge music is a lil loud at nite and a/c unit is older in room type and very loud also. can walk to old downtown vegas nite experience.

You Get What You Pay For...

Crappy hotel, but you can't beat 9 bucks a night. First off... * elevators stink, they have a musty smell * the carpet in the room was filthy * wallpaper peeling on window ledge * hole in wall didn't hold the Kleenex box * shower was POWERFUL (fireman hose) * tv didn't work, terrible static * parking lot way to small * hanging cable cord from wall socket * shower drained slowey (shower bath) * cloudy haze (smoke) in room * nails/screws in parking lot because of construction on hotel The showers were the worst, being that the water doesnt drain correctly, so your basically soaking your legs in dirt. We didn't spend time in the hotel except to sleep, the only plus is it's close to the Freemont Experience and it's only nine dollars a night. I provided pics as well, the pics I posted is of the following: * peeling window seal * hole in wall where Kleenex box kept falling out * hanging cable cord from wall
