It's a 50's era hotel. Basically, all concrete. You can tell items have been added and removed over the decades. WiFi is good, room is clean. Bathrooms are on the small side and no shelves for toiletries. A/C is very old and not the easiest to use, but it worked. Room had a fridge and microwave. People were great and staff was very nice.

The best part was the location. Right off the highway and route 66. Parking is tight but there is a big enough lot. The staff is quick and helpful. The rooms harkened back to a more basic times of motel stays. The train station is near so if you are sensitive to low rumbling sounds this can be heard off and on all night

Room not clean, towels had holes, bed spread stained, towel bar about to fall off wall. Heater worked.

Old, no amenities, noisy. I booked Through travelosity and paid for a suite. I got a very basic room instead. I paid 64.00 and then was charged another 11.50 for a utility charge by the hotel staff. I looked back on web sight and see the room i rented goes for 42.00 ..would like an explanation.

This motel has become unacceptable

I have been staying at this motel for many years but will not be returning. The location is great and it's always been cheap but sadly it no longer meets even my low standards. I've watched it deteriorate for years to its current point. They no longer bother to do any maintenance or cleaning. The shower handle was falling off. The toilet tank would not refill unless you pulled the lid off. There was so much baked on gunk in the microwave I chose not to use it. There was obvious stains on many surfaces that they didn't even bother to wipe down. I'll have to find a new location for my ski trips now because I won't be returning

Owners lack morals, decency, respect, law

The owner of this hotel thinks it is fine to reneg on Travelocity bookings. Regardless of your room type and rate she tries to tell you Travelocity did not provide her with the correct information so if you want the room you booked, she will not honor the Travelocity rate. I witnessed a party of extremely agitated quests with the same issue as mine in a shouting match at check in. She was rude, condescending, and her statements showed a total disregard for honorable business practices. i checked in and all was fine. until I got home and found they charged me a rate other than what Travelocity booked. I called and was yelled at. The owner would not provide details of the flat $75 charge to my card, despite the booked rate on Travelocity being $61.03. Stay clear people. They are conniving thieves praying on the resort location and lack of other downtown options. They tried to screw the folks ahead of me out of hundreds of dollars. The room was small, the door didn't open easily. The bathroom door wouldn't close. The construction, being all cinder block, meant the a/c unit on heat roasted us in bed while the room continued to freeze around us. About as expected for a $55 booking, so no big deal. But the attitude of the owners, the bait and switch practices, and the yelling caused me to dispute the transaction on my credit card. They should be proud, I've never, ever, disputed a card charge in 30 years of banking. So do yourself a favor...book elsewhere.

worst room ever

Pros: shower
Cons: everything
Location: fine
1. had to pay utility charge of $4 a night we had a king size bed, tv frig and micro. but 2 people could not fit in bathroom .room by the bed what so small you felt like you needed to turn sideways closet was really small. the only good thing the shower was large and water pressure was great never again high price also

An okay stay for an overnight visit

The room was clean and conveniently located to downtown, but that is about it. It's small and our room's breaker blew a fuse, leaving the air conditioner out. It took the hotel staff several hours to fix it. The parking lot was a pain to get in and out of, but luckily we didn't have to go very many places.

I didn't throw up...

This hotel was not so disgusting that I threw up, but close. I definitely didn't shower me or my kids here. We got in really late and I think the front desk person was just annoyed. Not friendly. The most important thing to me is that the room is clean and it was not. It was cheap and I guess I got what I paid for.
