They quoted me one price for staying an additional night but then charged a higher amount. I was referred to the manager on duty for an explanation. When speaking to the manager on duty over the phone, she said there was nothing they could do about the up charge because “it was the system” that did it. She claimed that system charged me the previous night’s rate (which was higher) and that it was out of her hands because of the system didn’t allow her to make any changes. All she was able to provide was an apology for their “miscommunication”. Incredulous with that explanation, I later approached her at the front desk upon my checkout. She maintained her previous position until I asked her name as a reference. Suddenly, she was able to over ride “the system” and adjust the rate. When I asked what had changed from one moment to the next, all she was able to say is that she was able to make a change because now “it had become an issue”.
