All a lone in NYC for this!

Pros: The price! BUT!
Cons: Attention to details, cleanliness, smoke smell, pillows and beddings, breakfast and better customers service.
Location: It was located around several stores and restaurants. Also, two blocks from the subway.
The out side of the hotel was inviting for Brooklyn. For the cost I knew it wouldn't be much to admire but I was not expecting what I got. The hallways smelled of marijuana and my room smelled of cigarette smoke. There were signs posted not to smoke but they were not being followed. My pillow smelled use not fresh and clean. Like someone had used it before me and it wasn't changed. I request another pillow which was replace with a flat pillow with a floral pillow cover on it. Like it came off someone's grandmother's bed. Really!!! It was all I could take since I was all a lone and didn't know of another reasonable hotel. The smoke smell was so bad I stayed away from my room until 2 am. I requested that my room get cleaned and that never happen. I also request a face towel and I still received another long towel to wash my face. The hotel has potential to be better if it is cared for more. Small attention to detail things need to be met. It's like YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET WHICH IS A BED, TV AND RESTROOM! Don't expect for it to be clean and inviting... Don't expect to be compensated either. I'm fighting with them to refunded at least half for the poor conditions and service. They wanted to credit me $

2 Day Trade show trip

Pros: room size - WOW - really nice bathroom - nice office - did not use - but roomy
Cons: weak windows - everything that happened outside -was way too easy too hear inside big heavy room doors - rude guest at night do not close door lightl

Close to Convention Center

We stayed at this hotel because it is pretty close to the convention center and the Omni hotel was fully booked. I really liked this hotel, the decor is contemporary and floor plan is unique. They also have their own parking area but there is a fee they charge for parking there. When we first arrived I called to inquire about early check in and get a parking pass. The woman I spoke to on the phone said they had no rooms at that time and I would have to wait until 3pm to check in, but that I could come in and get my parking pass immediately. I went to the check in desk and had no problem getting my parking pass AND my room. I'm not sure why the woman on the phone told me that but the guy at check in was extremely nice and there didn't appear to be any issue at all. Bed was comfortable, room was upscale. I would love to stay at this hotel again if the opportunity came up.

TV Issues

Pros: Free Internet
The hotel has a nice location downtown, close to the Convention Center and around the corner from the Omni Hotel. The room had a cigarette smell (even though it was smoke-free) and the TV signal was weak and would lose signal every few minutes...very annoying. Called the front desk, said maintenance would come up and take a look...but, they never did, so it made that part of stay not so good.

I love Aloft!

I love Aloft! I have stayed in many around the metroplex and have been very pleased. It is just like a W but cheaper!

Trendy Spot

Pros: Close restaurants
My husband and I spent a weekend away and stayed at the Aloft. It was nice. Trendy spot for younger adults. Elevator didnt work properly about overall, I would stay again because the price was right!

This hotel was great!!!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, modern look, comfy bed and pillows, loft feel
This hotel was very modern and colorful! It was centrally located in Downtown Dallas so it made it easy to walk to places or take a short cab ride. The staff was very friendly! The room was beautiful with comfy bed and pillows and a great view!!! It was like being in a loft...a place I would recommend to anyone who is looking for something different from the traditional hotel!
